  1. Eibach are popular mate. Don't think anybody has had a problem with them
  2. Had mine about 7 years now and still love it. Sure not the same as when I first stepped in but I admit I've got attached. I have done a fair amount of work on her and more is planned. Do my own servicing, etc... Scraped to much skin off my knuckles to let her go now! Personally I want to keep mine until she becomes a classic. Nobody would buy it anyway with the mileage. One day the time will come to rebuild the engine and I kind of look forward to it. Not bored personally, I think the zed has a lot of character and is relatively uncommon compared to other choices in the same bracket.
  3. I do not understand their logic. So a car modified for track use means you can have an non-airbag steering wheel and still be road legal. But if you just want a non-airbag steering wheel because you like it then you can't have one?
  4. 1100-1200 ish toady... Parked across from me - silver fairlady/import '52 plate EEH. Black aftermarket wheels, nismo spats and looked lowered a bit and a custom 'zorst. Looked cool!
  5. So from the security of his car the VW bloke is trying make himself feel more 'Alpha' by trying to belittle another man by making reference to the supposed size of his todger in relation to his choice of car (strange how only certain people make that connection). I very much expect the irony was lost on him...
  6. +1 lockwood and greenwood. There is another thread somewhere about the timing chain - I don't believe there is a set servicing interval for it. Not heard of many having it replaced but its tension can be checked to determine if it has stretched. Don't know about cost but I doubt its a short job... FWIW I'm on 140K miles and no issues.
  7. Thanks mate, will keep an eye on it. Would never had detected a leak without taking the axle off!
  8. Hi folks, Well I've spent today getting ready to change my rear wheel bearings - driver side noisy in particular. I've removed the axles for ease of access, plus will be dropping the diff soon to do the bushings. The driver side axle leaked oil as I unbolted it - not a huge amount but see pictures (the other axle was dry). I assume this is a seal within the diff? Is this a serviceable item and if so does anybody have them available as I may as well do it while the diff is out. Many thanks, pic - Axle end pic - diff
  9. Tesco car park Baldock, Bedforshire a few days ago. Ginger 350Z with body colur side window lourves (Stillen type) and the 350Z stripe above the side skirts. Didn't get much more of a look!
  10. Well by clocking up over 140K miles and doing my own servicing for the last few years - I've convinced the missus that 90% of buyers probably won't be interetsed, and trade dealer will rip me right off. And for the 10% who appreciate a well looked after motor, I'll probably get back less money than I've actually spent on mods - let alone the car itself. None of these points matter though because I'm not selling it. She's okay with it now. My missus also spent £3K getting here eyes 'frinkin' lasered recently, which has improved her life. I argued that since I was born with superior genes and do not require such procedures, I can spend £3K towards something which will in many ways improve my life... such as FI (yeah I know I'll need a bit more dosh...). Unsurprisingly, here she disagrees with my logic. She'll come round...

Parked up alongside a beautiful Chevy 3600. The guy had a mini-bar in the back! There also a cool Dodge Challenger there too in full race livery but he buggered off before I got the camera out!
  21. Was it a trade sale or private? If trade I'd be having them sort your clutch out mate!
  22. Clutch can be changed on its own. You don't necesarily need to replace the flywheel unless the clutch has completely worn through and damaged the flywheel - but difficult to know this until the gearbox is out for the clutch change, but you probably will have noticed if the clutch got that bad. If you are planning to go single mass (which is the flywheel anyway), then makes perfect sense to do this along with a new clutch.
