In true British style, we should get a petition together post-haste and send it to the king of Saudi Arabia telling him to 'get a grip' as all this silly nonsense is making western driving pleasure too expensive...

Just had a quick look - seems like a good spot there BlackRock Gold & General Fund is a major shareholder in these guys, and they came in as one of the best performing big funds in 2010 (they returned just over 40% on a 10K investment). So if they are backing them, then surely it's a good sign? Certainly warrants further research at any rate

eh? Anyway, you'll soon get used one of several lines of banter from those who betray their own ignorance of cars... 1. It's a hairdressers car 2. Poor man's TT (my personal favourite) 2. It's a Datsun Just smile and say "yeah". At the end of the day - he wouldn't bother with the banter if he wasn't impressed by it...

Aye aye Captain! I've had a look into this, and I'm now in on CAZA for 1000 shares - potentially exciting week ahead! Since I'm new to all this, I've also decided to buy into a fund so that all my money isn't tied up in shares. I've chosen Standard Life UK Smaller Companies for the following main reasons: Fund Manager Harry Nimmo has an excellent track record, and has managed this fund for over 13 years. It invests in small to medium companies which have excellent growth potential. Possible yearly returns in the 40-45% region. "One of the most successful funds was Standard Life's UK Smaller ÂCompanies. If you'd invested £10,000 at the start of 2010, you'd have made a £4,719 profit." http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/investing/article.html?in_article_id=520723&in_page_id=166 Minimum investment allowed is £500, which is what I've gone for. That's it for March! No more dealing for me!

Wow remind me to keep well clear of you too grumpy gits when you get to 40!

Your other car has a middle name?

I feel an audition for 'Grumpy Old Men' coming on...and all at the tender age of 30! Ah, the joy of ranting...! On the plus side, self-service can be useful for what I like to call 'stealth' purchasing, however, avoid the Morrisons ones - notoriously poor software - so just when you thought you'd successfully sneaked your box of 'Just for Men' in there without anyone noticing, the f@cking thing throws a benny and it's game over sunshine... Sadly these things also carry the same major pitfall as does empowering the public to do their own check-ins at airports - you are ALWAYS waiting for ages behind some d!ckhead who hasn't got a clue what they're doing and who has clearly ventured into a realm far beyond their capabilities. And another thing... Now, I have nothing against shop assistants whatsoever, did the job myself for a bit whilst at uni - in fact, I have nothing against anybody who works; they do a job, and every job needs doing by somebody and I actually quite like it when people take the time to be chatty or friendly whilst understanding in equal measure the one who rather wouldn't. BUT, why oh why am I to be asked if I need help with my packing? What a stupid question: Do I need help putting things into a bag? Well I didn't need help walking around the shop and putting them into my basket! Grrr.... Don't even get me started on the aisle hoggers...

Jayne. Middle name of my other beloved.

+1 Nissan (sigh) says: Remove headlamp washer nozzles Remove front bumper Remove headlamp unit (Finally) replace bulb Reassemble all above. Naturally, any such work should be carried out by a qualified mechanic... So a good hours work there... £50-£60 labour down the local Nissan stealers? Way to go guys...

Although it doesn't increase the BHP - it could still be seen as a performance enhancing mod - so I'd say declare it - probably won't cost you much more, if anything.
-
It's the counterweight that helps your boot to close, against the force of the struts. You can take it out if you want to save (a bit of) weight, but then you will have to push harder to close your boot, as the struts will try to keep it open.
-
My advice - declare all mods which may increase the performance or value of the car. They probably won't check in the event of a claim, but do you want to risk it?

if this does turn good what would the sp go up to for an unflooded gold mine? Not sure what the forecast will be yet - but for CRND the 52 week high was 10.68p, so if they get back up to that then it's around a 5-fold increase. Let's hope they do! source: http://www.digitallook.com/companyresearch/788882/Central_Rand_Gold/company_research.html

Welcome news since I decided to jump on the RRL bandwagon last night, with my purchase limit set at 25p so should be no problem getting them today. Not a huge investment at the moment - just under £200 on the strength of the tips, however I will look to build on this in coming months following further research. Didn't get the CRND shares at 1.85p - went for 2.15p and purchased £190 worth. Will watch with interest prior to further investment. Have read over a 'Galvan' report and am currently looking into the following: PVR - Porvair - upcoming industrial filters company. FWEB - Fiberweb Plc - makes 'hygiene products' - high level of director buys showing confidence. LAM - Lamprell - Oil sector FTSE 250, solid company with a high market share in the middle east - specialising in refurb and building of offsore oil rigs. ENQ - Enquest - found a gap in the market with expected 30% growth this year (47% last year). I don't think I'm experienced enough to say these are 'tips' - but just maybe worth having a look into.

I've decided to try my hand at share dealing - I figured if I can make more than 3% I'll be better of than trying to save cash! Have set up with TDWaterhouse as per the advice on here... Interesting tip (and thank you for it, Captain) - I've looked into it and decided to have a punt. This is just a note to say what I have done and why - as a complete beginner I certainly wouldn't presume to advise others just yet! It looks as thought the South African government are going to provide aid to help clean up the mines affected by flooding - so hopefully CRND will be starting to get back up to speed later this year - resulting I hope, in an increase in the share prices. I have a pending limit order so when the price hits £0.0185 (hopefully some time tomorrow) I'll purchase £190 worth - all I can spare at the moment! Guess you have to start somewhere. I will also look to invest in some low-risk shares in the coming months too, in order to have a balanced portfolio. I will watch with (now vested!) interest...

B0ll0cks - it would cost the economy billions in lost man hours, late deliveries etc.. It would take a long time to phase in the nex limits and enforcement would be practically impossible. Plus it would be an international embarrassment if such a measure were necessary. I reckon that the people concerned about fuel economy are (mostly) already sensible enough to slow down without a speed limit change. Sounds like typical media BS to me.

Chargespeed replica bumper update plus help
evest replied to Tarmac@TarmacSportz's topic in Tarmac Sportz
Hi mate, Cheers for all the leg work on this - I'm still in. Something else to factor in is that people may have the opportunity to sell on their OEM bumpers to make a bit of money back too! -
I think just having 'bush' in the title afforded at least 1 page of banter! (Cue childish sniggers...)
-
Hopefully with one of those little voice activated mic things like in Batman...

I've had a similar thing myself. I know it's tempting to try and push small dents out - but if you muck it up you may stretch of even break the paint. I'd get a mobile repair specialist to do it - might cost you around £40-£50 but IMO it's better than risking a more expensive repair.

Sometimes it can be noisy on cold mornings. If it's pulling away ok in 3rd then it sounds like it's ok. He knows a lot about clutches, and can supply parts if you need them.

WOW! Some hard work gone into that mate - nice one!
