Well I guess in principal yes - but I don't think you're really covered by any statutory rights/distance selling regsulations with a private trade like this - I could be wrong though. Did he agree to pay the return postage as part of the refund? Look at it this way - he has refunded you so probably a decent enough guy; you still have his goods so I guess you're holding all the cards really. He did you a favour by paying half the postage in the first place, so perhaps meet half-way again?

Not causing the issue, no, but I did think about it and personally believe it might have been a contributing factor. If you went budget on the back and top-end on the front, that would be stupid, right? Surely it makes sense to have the same type front and back - not necessarily the same brand but at least the same speed rating/performance etc. Whilst driving 'normally' then granted the tyres are not under so much pressure to keep you on the road and so any imbalance will probably go unoticed. But common sense tells me that if one end of the car has more grip than the other, I'm going to have problems going round corners quickly.

Very Personally I think you should now colour match your wheel nuts to the body - will give a nice accent to those lovely rays.

I left my wallet at work - luckily I realised just before squeezing the trigger! So looked a bit of a berk rummaging around in the boot and then getting back in and driving off with no fuel - and there was another Zed two cars behind me (had a hot chick driving it as well). Not sure what happens if you have a full tank and no money to pay for it, but I'm sure it would've been mighty embarrasing in a very busy filling station

I learned (the hard way) how the ESP worked fairly soon after getting my Zed - nearly binned it too because I decided to put the hammer down in 2nd gear off a roundabout in the middle of december on a cold road with cold tyres. Pretty stupid. And I had a passenger. Reckless. In short - I was over excited about the speed and power of my beloved new Zed and was showing off and basically driving like a tw@t and was lucky to get away with it. I was quite glad it happened though as it taught me a lesson, fortunately without any damange to the car, me or anyone else. Anyway I'm not preaching here, but just in case you had a heavy right foot and the car has slapped you for it - well you're not the only one, and I'm sure there are others out there. Just turn it into a positive experience and learn from it. My advice is - 1. Make sure your tyres are in order, same types, correct pressures. 2. If you believe that the issue was down to the ESP and not your driving, then get it checked out ASAP. 3. If it could have been down to your driving, then take it as a lesson like I did - take it easy until you get used to the car. 4. Calm down - if you think somebody has disrespected you then maybe just get some clarification before you wade in with an insult - things can get lost in translation. 99% of the posters on here are good folks with a common love of the Zed, and are happy to help each other out.

I'm surprised you haven't noticed any difference - I had some issues a while ago with the car seeming to struggle on ignition, gave the throttle body a good clean (it was similar to yours) and this seemed to noticeably improve the car start up.

I was lucky enough to spend the day rock climbing on the Welsh coast, down near barmouth. Absolutely fantastic, soul reviving weather and scenery. Back to work tomorrow...

I think it's the markets in general keeping us down with Range - and it's a time when private investors with small stakes (but maybe large to them) could be tempted to cut their losses and run for it. Personally, range is killing me at the moment as I'm about 33% down and am averaged at 17p. That said, I'm going to wait it out as I think Range has such massive potential - I don't know when the price will rise significantly as I'm no expert - much may depend on the economy as a whole but I think patience, frustrating though it is, will be rewarded. Getting married in April though - so hopefully my share of the funds will be in the green by then! Good luck!

Cheers mate - do you remember what fuse you used for the line booster? The 3amp it came with blows every time - but using a 10amp causes the mirror fuse in the dash box to blow. Guess I could try a 5amp and see!

Karl, Ian, Bang on the money fellas - I've found the blown 10A fuse - it was the mirror fuse which I hadn't thought to check before now. Anyway, power restored, HU working - just gotta tackle the line-booster again - I think if I use a 10A in it this time, I should be ok - will post up some pics when the install is complete. Thanks for your help on this - very much appreciated, what a top forum!

Well just been out to pick up a curry and have no power to the centre console pods or the speedo/rev etc dimmers. So perhaps its one of the other fuses rather than the radio ones I have checked. Even though i put an overated fuse in the line-booster - would that not just affect the line-booster itself? Hope I haven't melted a cable - sounds difficult to sort out! Don't have a volt meter but can probably get one from work next week.

Have re-checked fuses, all are okay but still getting no power to the HU?!

Cheers mate - am I right in thinking the only places to check are the box on the driver side footwell, and the two boxes in the battery bay? If it's not a fuse then I'm all out of ideas!

Yeah I re-grounded it using the wire directly off the HU loom but this didn't help. As the OEM HU is not getting power either I reckon its a problem somewhere else - I'll re-check all fuses since this seems likely problem, but I'm pretty sure they were all ok.
