it goes in from the bumper side mate, but you shouldn't need to remove anything

Hi mate, Did you by it from a dealer - if so take it back and tell 'em to top up the fluids! The recommended power steering fluid is Genuine Nissan PSF II or equivalent (Genuine NISSAN PSF, Canada NISSAN Automatic Transmission Fluid, Dexton 3 /Mercon or equivalent ATF may also be used) You can buy it from the genuine stuff from the stealers or Halfords will probably stock the equivalent stuff. Opie Oils are also pretty good and most like cheaper.

Not sure TBH - I quite like the way they sit as is, if I did get spacer then probably no more than 10mm. I think it maybe needs lowering by 10-20mm and I'll see how it looks then.

I'm creeping up to 120K and yeah - windows are a PITA!! If you have the time, try stripping the motor and cleaning the contacts - (search the guides, it's in there somewhere) - that can get a bit more life out of them, but depnding on the condition might be time for a replacement motor. Has to be said though... 120K and the only mechanical issue I have is oil in the spark plug apeture so am replacing the rocker cover. Other than that, she's absolutely solid. (oh - apart from them bloody boot struts... replaced 'em today!) Do you mind me asking what they charged for the rust spot repair - I have that too!

Ha ha! Yeah - I guess making a locking nut for these would have blown Nissan's R&D budget...

370Z Wheels on the 350Z. So I headed on down towards the Darty area (great tunnel) to meet with peteman35 today to relieve him of his 370Z wheels! Top lad and a public cheers to him for helping me out (and doing the messy bits with the copper grease!). A beautiful sunny day and between us we had my zed re-shod in fairly short order. 20mm spacers on the front (a must in order to clear the Brembos) and no spacers on the back. Stock suspension set up. Personally I could not be happier and think they look the bomb! Judge for yourselves! (back home and clean!) (ps - feel free to take the mick out of the kanji tats - everyone else does! )

Quite right to focus on the bits that needed servicing, but what about the cost of all the Meguirs/Autoglym/Dodo Juice/etc...that adds up to a fair bit!!!!

Should have a set of Rays available in a few weeks; PM sent mate.
-
Hi mate - I maybe interested. Where are you for collection? Also, do you know if they will fit in the back of a 350Z? I know the 18" rays with tyres do but it's chuffing tight. If not, could always swap them out in situ and transport the rays instead?

Hi mate, I'll take the throttle controller if it's still available! PM sent

Hello mate, I take this is a private sale? If so then you need to tread carefully as you don't have same legal protection as you do when buying from a dealer, so take care before trying to hit the previous owner with bills and threats of court. Hopefully he will do the honourable thing and help to sort out the issue you may have. Good luck. -
Actually... I stand corrected, my bad... I just re-checked that and they proved that that dirty cars were less fuel effiecient, which supports what you're saying - got confused about the golf ball thing... stoopid memory!!! (it was quite a few years ago!). So err... yeah... keep your car clean everyone!

Oh, and to answer the original question by the OP - wing mirrors can stay put, ariel off.

I think many are answering emotionally rather than objectvely! I have a somewhat contrary view on this... I remember watching an episode of 'Mythbusters' on Discovery channel (I know, get my anorak...) and they scientifically tested various carwashing methods to find out which was potentially the most damaging. Amongst the findings, the automatic car wash was actually shown to be less likely to damage paintwork than a poor or hurried handwash (particularly if a sponge was used). My main issue with the auto-wash is that they don't get your car completely clean, just the large surface area of the body work and not the finer details - but if you're off to pick up a date and you've not had time.... then surely once in a blue-moon isn't going to ruin the car! AND They also proved that a dirty car is more fuel efficient than a clean car because the rough surface of the dirt causes an aerodynamic effect similar to the dimples you get on golf balls. All that being said... it clean and shiny for me and I do find the methodical process of doing it by hand satisfying and theraputic!

I believe that the high octane fual has additives in it that will do this, so no need to buy extra injector cleaner. Happy to be corrected if this is incorrect!

I think yellow is a great base colour for pimping up the engine bay - loads of potential in there - perhaps some matching hoses, re-spray the battery and power steering covers, and engine cover (yellow with black mustang stripes works for me!) etc... and polish than plenum!!!! Good luck with the project mate

Hi folks, Just got back from a tour abroad with the RAF, so the Zed has been on the driveway for 4 months. Unfortunately during that time my good lady wife only managed to start and run the engine once... despite my request that this be done each week!!!! So funny old thing, she emailed to say it won't start - clearly a dead battery. Managed to jump start it tonight, and it revved up ok to begin with, but then seeming went into limp mode, with the ESP OFF light and skid marks on, engine management light on and unable to rev above 1500rpm. It's a bit late at night so haven't had time to leave the engine running for long, so it won't yet restart without jump leads as battery hovering at about 8V. Will try to charge more tomorrow. So, entered diagnostic mode using the pedals (don't have a code reader) but have counted the flashes and have code P1121 which is Throttle Control Actuator. Car was running fine before I left and the battery was almost brand new. I'm hoping this doesn't mean a new throttle body, anybody got any other ideas? Cheers!!

***Now Closed*** Attention all early-Zed-front-tow-hook-wanters! This group buy is for the 16mm tow hook which I believe is for 2003-2005 models. Some later 2005 models may have the 22mm tow hooks - don't really know why they changed it but please just check your own tow hook to make sure what size you have! They are manufactered by Tewiga Imports in a choice of colours and you can read all about them here: http://www.tegiwaimp...civic-fn2-1070/ (this is the page for the Honda Civic but you get the idea...) £35 + £3 P&P Blue, Silver, Black, Gold, Red, Purple As you can see there is no immediate discount to the RRP as they don't currently make them and so have to start up production on these. However, they will offer 5% discount if we order 20 or more. Conditions of group buy: 1. Closing date 21 Jun 13 2. Minimum of 10 required (20+ = 5% discount) 3. I'll ask for payments when the list closes, provided we have 10 or more 4. I will place the order only when everyone has paid me 5. Turnaround is up to 3 weeks from the order being placed with Tewiga 6. I'll keep the list updated as people sign up - please include what colour you would like.
