I bought a 5L bottle of Bilberry 3years ago,and iv still got another 6 months left in it! I dont use its sparingly either! Never used the stuff you have,but if you get bored,id give Bilberry a go.

We both freaked out abit while changing Dougs pads,as i could have sworn that my discs didnt wobble like that when i changed my pads. Well its all done now,and fitted back up. New problem though. The discs have now developed a nice blue ring in one area near the centre,so obviously getting very hot. Trouble is,we felt the disc (After a long time to let it cool down),and its rippled when you run your finger from the inside to the outside. Will the pad eventually match this,and the blue ring will go,or are the discs on their way out? Your rotors are obviously worn, however the pads will bed in to match the surface of the rotors. Thats what i was hoping,rather than Doug having to replace his discs.

Il probably get the 320gb version then,and potentially upgrade it later if needs be. The only stipulation from Estelle is that it has the series record feature,so iv got free rein on everything else. Found a good deal on one,so will get it ordered over the weekend. Iv currently got a Foxsat HD,and cant rate it enough,other than it not being able to record,its perfect.

Im looking at buying a Foxsat HDR in the next week or so. I want the Freesat over the Freeview. Im curious though,iv heard that you can easily upgrade the hard drives yourself. Iv got the choice of the 320gb and the 500gb versions. Just wondered if its worth the extra £100 for the 500gb,or just get the 320 and upgrade to 1TB if i need to at some point soon.

id love to chap,but i have zero chance of getting time off for the next 3 months due to car build and races. Its a shame that the next novice track day at Bedford is next year.

I would do another track day without a doubt. It was a brilliant day. I dont know what brake fluid i have in,but iv got standard hoses. I couldnt want anything more to be honest.

To be honest i dont know how an open pitlane day will differ from the novice day,but it was just good to know that the other people on track were just as inexperienced as me. I didnt change my fluid,but thought the brakes held up brilliantly. I was doing alot of laps,and the brakes never faded,or gave me a worry.

Iv got upgraded pads,to Ferodo Ds2500. I think they are great,and from what i saw of the 350's,they are a massive improvement,

I had my standard car noise tested yesterday,and it was 78dB,so you have loads of room for improvement! lol

Well what an awesome day! It was well worth doing,and i feel so much more comfortable with the car now. The whole day was well organised,and there were no shunts or anything. The worst thing that happened was a few spins by other people,but thats it. I was really impressed by the car,everything held together well,and the brakes were amazing. (DS 2500's on the front). I took a few people out,and everyone was really impressed by the car,and the brakes,which never faded,and were always spot on. My first 20 laps were done with me braking what i though was heavy,but at one point,i had to really get on them,and realised that i could brake so much later and harder than i had been,even from 125-130. It was not cheap,but was so worth it. I did around 200 miles and a tank of fuel,but dont regret it for a moment. To top it all off,in the afternoon,there were 2 other Azure Zeds that showed up,so it was nice to chat to one of the owners (Will from Cambridge),who had no brake pads left by 3pm. Good selection of cars,from an R400 to a Mustang,and even a tatty old mk3 Fiesta,with a 1.8 and NOS.

Not at £120 a pot! lol

Would an Anthracite be better for an Azure Zed?

I thought matt was different,as it can be either a matt clear coat,or just solid matt paint. I was hoping a member that has a set or had a set maybe able to advise.

Im potentially going to get a set of Varrstoen wheels,and wondered if these were the type of matt paint that i could apply a wax to,so that they are protected. Anyone got a set that maybe able to help?

Im heading off to the novice only track day at Bedford Autodrome tomorrow. Didnt know if there were any members planning on going also. Really looking forward to it,though abit nervous. Hopefully the rain will hold off,and itl be dry tomorrow.

This year will certainly be entertaining with 2 Lotus teams,both powered by Renault! What a mess that is turning into! Im really looking forward to the new season,even the testing,just seeing and hearing the cars again!

lol,sounds like fun! At work now we have to pass an exam with Adrian Newey's driver,before we can drive any poll vehicles,not the same thing i know,but this would help. How many observations/lessons do you get?

Sounds like a good idea. Just looked at their website,it dont say where abouts they do the training,is it on a track or something,or on the road?
