LOL,yeah thats my bucket that i used for filling with grit in during the snow,and had to use my garden shovel to spread it. Got abit carried away one day and put a hole in it.

Well,its been a long time coming this day,it started before christmas,and has involved pestering a few members,and one particular one being very kind indeed. (many thanks) Not to mention a fair chunk of money,and no finger nails left after the wait. Here they are.

I know that feeling well,and the getting dark bit after. It feels like such a productive day though when you can see the car gleaming in the evening light

LOL,our car is already fast enough,and thats still with 30hp less than the Merc engines. Off topic abit i feel. lol

As for the car being fast,thats all about the main man Newey.

lol,we have a special purple polish,that is very good,and comes in small bottles,but no label,so no idea what it is. They also use Stardust aerosol and wipe it all over to clean it al up etc. Makes me cringe when i see all the swirls etc. Maybe i should get a job making the cars shiny! Must add 0.1 second to a lap. lol

The first wax i used was Megs No16. Its a brilliant entry level wax,and last for ages,and its cheap too,especially taking into account how big the pot is. Id use it with some foam applicator pads,rather than a MF cloth. It will train you to put on and buff off properly,as being white,you will see the next day where you have missed. I think SRP is a great product,and should be used after a clay,then wax on top.

Sounds like real bummer,sorry to hear about the pants day. I hate unproductive days that start off with good intentions.

Would a smear of copper grease not solve the sticking problem? As for shearing,i see what you mean,just have to be abit gentle i suppose.

Are the steel ones better than the Ally ones?

A4 3l TDI with a remap will be ~300hp,not to mention huge torque,when i need a family car,i think itl be one of these or a 335d touring.
