  1. No that link is regarding a guy with ssues with the plastic itself. Mine is a UK spec. There is loads of clearly visible water in one. I pulled the back off when i wasnt driving for a while and let it air...cleared and so i screwed the back back on...it came back Can the seals on the screw back perish or be re made some how to prevent the condensation build up?
  2. Guys...im getting to the end of my tether with my headlights. They are either working, not working or one is one isnt...im adament that its due to condensation, what can I do besides getting new lights to fix it, cos its really pissing me off now!!!
  3. Thanks for all the replies. Heres the thing...the passenger side has some moisture in it...but works fine. I went out to take the bulb out the faulty drivers side, switched them on to check the passenger one works...and both were working. Ok...so went inside...easy fix. Then, went to go out sunday night, switched them on, and the drivers one flicked on then went out. Any ideas?? it seems like a loose connection...but what do i check for? It itsnt a philips one. its a replica i think. but the brightness is excellent
  4. Expensive to fix? The chap said it went on the other side which was why he needed to change the bulb. How much and where would I get one from? Any reason why they go?
  5. Hi guys, When I viewed my car (before buying) the passenger headlight was out. The chap replaced it, I bought it, and driving home, in the dark the lights were excellent (around 2 months ago) Within 5 days, the drivers side bulb blew (standard head light - not full beam) so I did research here, and found that I needed the D2R xenon bulb as my car is 54 UK spec GT model. I recently purchased that bulb, it says 6000k on the packaging, and the cost was around £35 Got it fitted, and again, at night lighting was excellent, although I did notice that it was much bluer..or whiter light than the passenger side all worked well. Then yesterday, the D2R that I replaced, only a week or two before (drivers side) has now blown again??? Does this happen regularly? Do I have a major electronic problem? or have I done some thing wrong? Does anyone else have any ideas why this has happened? Thanks in advance. IAn

With the cold winter nights drawing in and the spray from the road causing the car to become grubby much quicker than any other car I have owned (must be the shape - or the fact it looks so damn fine! ) I have noticed the headlight washers spray when the lights are on and the windscreen spray is used. My car has a nismo front bumper fitted and it was fitted before i bought it. Im just wondering why the strange washer things dont go back in on their own accord or if im doing something wrong? Can they be disconnected from that circuit? and whats the point in the button for them if they spray when the lghts are on anyhow?? Sorry to ask ridiculoous questions, but im bored of pushing them in with my finger once ive stopped and theyve deployed.

  8. I got my car about 3 weeks ago, and so far - loving the experience. It wasnt until the other day that someone else needed to get in too. And I realised that the passenger side door is temperamental in unlocking from the key fob. The strange thing is, sometimes it does work. and if i press the button on the door to central lock, it works first time every time...so there is nothing wrong with the central locking motor. I assume this isnt a feature of the car....is there anyewhere i should start looking to resolve this?

  10. When taking my bose stereo out, the wiring from harness M41 came out. I need to reconnect them. I have been advised of the wiring on the here http://www.350z-tech.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=39076&st=0entry561375 However the US and Service manual i looked at seem to have different wire colours to the colours i have in my UK 350z. I have blue, pink, purple-pink, yellow-black, palegreen and grey Is anyone able to advise me further?
  11. Hi all, My drivers side Xenon bulb has gone (headlight) on my GT UK 350z. Can anyone tell me what bulb to look for to replace this, and what sort of cost i am looking at? Is it a hard swap?
  12. Guys, I know some of you run CAR PC's. Im fitting the old one from my supra TT into my new 350z over the weekend, removing the annoying (non touchscreen) birdview. Can anyone tell me the easiest way to input the RCA output of the PC into the BOSE sound system (i assume through the tape input???) I have seen the thread on adding ipod to tape, however the photos dont show - that worries me. Any help is happily received
  13. I used to have a rear view camera in my Supra TT car PC. I drilled a hole through the black letter of the number plate, and positioned the black camera in the black letter. Could only see it if you looked carefully, and it passed its MOT 3 years on the trot. Next is the Car PC for the 350
  14. I have a UK spec car with the REMOTE CONTROLLLED sat nav, instead of the one with the controls underneath the screen. Either way round, i think the whole system would work so much better as touch screen. Does anyone know if that is possible? (obviously replacing screen etc) If not. What is the best sized touch screen to fit in the top hole? and will I be able to feed an Audio input into the standard bose tape/cd/radio headunit? Thanks
  15. Thanks for all the info. Everything else with the car seems pretty good shape. has all service stamps etc...and seems a good example. I will take a mechanic with me for a second look....and try as you suggested. The tank with no cap wasnt full, there was as you say around two inches of water in it, and it wasnt boiling or steaming with the lid off. Im in London.

  17. Hi guys, Just been to see a 350z, as im looking to get one. ITs a UK spec with full electric everything. While sitting in it, and driving all was fine and was much better than any others ive seen....body work / engine wise. Just when it was parked up the engine temps grew. to just below the red line....but didnt go into it. The owner contacted their mechanic friend, and he suggested it may be an airlock where the 350z has been sitting on the driveway for ages etc. could this be feasible? Is it a possible problem? or could it be a sticky thermostat? The other thing is the bottle that looked to me to be the expansion tank (coolant) had a lid missing, but it wasnt extremely hot or bubbling or anything. It has full service history, and nothing major was mentioned. Any help would be great. Thanks Ian
