GTR's r wild money compared to other models, i'd love one but at 21 and living in Northern Ireland the insurance is just too expensive!

blueprint pads fitted, they didn't come with shims tho! the pads seemed to fit well though so I don'nt think the pads are wrong. pads were greased too, may be worth while trying a set of shims in her to eliminate them
I recently changed my front discs and pads all round.
I took the red stuff pads out that had been fitted by the previous owner and put standard pads in (red stuff destroyed standard front discs ).
The red stuff pads seemed to have backing plates attached and the new ones did not.
The back pads now seem to make a knocking noise when engaged!
Any advice would be appreciated.

I was changing the plugs the other day and found that oil had gathered in the well where the coil goes down through the rocker. has anyone experianced this or leaky rocker gaskets? p.s cars goin like the hammers!
thanks guys, jut looking at different options for the cars performance a I havn't had the car long. Does the plenum spacers make an effect on the car with its restrictive ecu?
I have an 03 z with 36k. I was changing the pads the other day and seen that the front dics were scrap! Just wondering if anyone else has experianced this at such a low milage? The discs were not warped but there were bits missing and a lot of wear on the inner side.
Does anyone know what makes the Z's windows drop and lift a few mm when the door is opened and closed? The motor works fine but it seems to forget to do the up down thing and sometimes I have to push the top of the window to make it go down!
sorry i didn't take any pics. You cant see it unless you strip the arch guard out. Unless it was repaired its crap because the wong will sit out. It could be a while until I get round to replacing it tho!
I pulled my wheel and arch guards out of the Zed earlier on to find that the wing has a bracket on it thebolts to the side of the head light assembly. This holds the wing/bumper in nice and tight to the head light. Mine has snapped off the head light as it's plastic. So its a new head light for me! Just thought you might like to know!
Iv read here a few times about folks getting new clutches fitted and they mention that the flywheels are also replaced? Why is this? How does a flywheel go wrong?
I need some advice on the zed's body work. My idiot brother decided to reverse out of our drive into my Zed as I pulled up the kerb. He just touched the wing/bumper but it was enough to kink the wing. I had it straightened and there was a small bit of filler put in it. It was then painted. It looks ok but now there is a small gap between the wing and the bumper and also a small gap between the wing and the head light. Does anyone know how these fasten together and weather I will have to replace the wing to straighten them up or is there adjustment? Thanks in advance!
Has anyone had any experiance with a noisey clutch bearing? I have an 03 zed with 37K on the clock and I find the bearing to be quite noisey. Are there any warranty issues with them?
