  1. i didnt have much of a problem on the other side when i changed the lower arm so hopefully all will be well, ill grease all the parts the night before and again in the morning
  2. o really you can fix that at the same time then neil
  3. looks like i will be doing it myself, i can get the parts cheaper than my excess so might as well not bother with the insurance company, nissan want just under 4k for doing the work, and only 575 of that is labour seen as you guys are doing it ill order a set of lowering springs aswell ill get onto alex later and order the parts
  4. Sounds good, I'll make the coffee and bacon buttys, you guys can do the job
  5. pm zmanalex, he has them for a great price
  6. is it not normal for this to happen, i had it before my service and even after, mine only happens for less than a second though, but i just put it down to the cold weather as it doesnt happen any other time
  7. might be fixing it myself, alex can do me a great price for the whole passenger side suspension, so it would save involving the insurance and getting bummed on renewal prices next year, all i would need to do is then pay for the bumper repair and buy the new alloys which i had already planned for
  8. good point, might be worth trying to find a demo or the small chance of a used one through the dealer? i wouldnt buy brand new either, nice as it is, you lose to much money as soon as you leave the forecourt
  9. when i was in the dealership, they said id get 6k trade in for my 53 nismo kitted azure, i laughed and pointed to the basic model 54 plated gunmetal outside and asked whys that £13000 and they couldnt answer but back on track, its very much upto you mate, if you think you can afford it, and be happy with your choice??
  10. looks like ill go through insurance, theyve listed pretty much everything to do, mainly because there are 2 arms bent, and they dont know wether the strut and other parts are out of place because of the arms or because they are bent as well, so they have to price for job lot, but might not be all the parts if you get what im saying, also, the rim will need to be replaced by them or fixed by me, and the bumper needs to be sorted, im getting a price later, so ill let you know how much nissan charge for it
  11. Sounds like I should be happy I renewed last month with 4 years protected ncb then, I'm up early tommorrow to let them assess it, so Ill let you know the damage
  12. Exactly the same question I was thinking mate, I'm sure they will screw you over somehow
  13. I'm protected so I think that's the way I'll go, I might try and be cheeky and get a few upgrades while at it, I'll see what they say in the morning and ring insurance if it's going to cost more that £400 which is my excess, which undoubtably it will, hopefully it will get fixed quick enough
  14. hopefully so mate, just have to add on the cost of the wheel repair and nismo bumper fixing, that is one thing i am glad of though, that it was a curb and not crashing into someone
  15. i think the sitting far back bits the problem, im not sure if its cracked the wheel or not, its a bit dirty to tell, its just bent around the rim as far as i can tell at the moment, hopefully it will just be a wishbone and track rod end, alex can sort me out with that
  16. driving home from work this morning, ended up trying to turn left and instead went straight on into the curb, wouldnt of taken the car to work if i knew snow was on its way ill have to take it to nissan tommorrow and see what the damage is, might be an insurance job bent the wheel, not that you can tell much by the photo, cracked all the newly painted bumper, and suspension damage pictures: good drivers side: passenger side (damaged)
  17. keep it mate, mines on 84k and not missed a beat............ touch wood
  18. I should have one at the other house somewhere, I'll check over the next couple of days for you as I'm on nights at the moment
  19. good little interest list then, ill try sort something out soon then
  20. Yeah it's simple, I opened the car door and pulled from that side as it was easier, there are only 2 clips keeping them on
  21. Hi mate, it's best if you remove the pillars, they are only held on by a couple of clips, gives them a tight fit, also you can try Heating the carbon up a little, low temp oven on a damp towel, this gives them more flex, although that's not really neccesary
  22. hi guys, im interested in making some carbon door handle covers that cover the keyhole aswell, ive not much idea in price yet but was just wondering your thoughts and if people would be interested? like this:
  23. last time i made the mistake of letting the ex drive the car, she reversed it into a car opposite our house, couldnt even get off the street
