  1. Now then, if you hold out until my carbon plenum is up and going I'll be selling my motordyne spacer and maybe a polished plenum As for stength of the carbon plenum, it won't crack.. If it did which is highly unlikely, it would be replaced within the 12 months
  2. He wasn't in today so I'll try again tommorrow
  3. Good idea, I've not seen either for sale as whole units, that's what I'm doing this for to find things that havnt been done, I'll put it on my question list, again a few orders would be needed
  4. All the hoses would connect as normal As for the mirror parts, certainly can be done, I'm concentrating on the engine parts for now, but if a few people want these Ill get them done as soon as I have orders, I'd have to get a price on them and hopefully someone to lend me one to get a mould
  5. Your probably right, saving the questions would be better, although I need to ring him today regarding the badge, so I'll ask a few questions then
  6. ah right, that's quite interesting, I'll have a word with him, he builds plenums for bmw's so maybe he will have an idea, He will think I'm a stalker soon with the amount of phone calls he gets
  7. I'm not sure what you mean about the smooth and rough, Is for the outside for different effects? approx £250 includes the spacer, Hes getting the dimentions from my 5/16 spacer to work with The surrounds and covers, I'm guessing you mean the battery and brake fluid bits? If so the surround replacements will approx be £75 a set and the covers are approx £75 the set, although these are covers and not replacement, I'm going to ask him about prices for them
  8. Now that plenum is nice, at the moment I'm going to keep it simple, the mould already is a back breaker without going full custom and designed properly, definetly something to think about in the future though, Still need a few more words with the guys then all I'll need is the spare plenum, i'm at a local show on Sunday so I'll take the brake and fluid surrounds off when I get home and drop them off with him, should be a quick process from then on
  9. Ironically the disabled toilets are the only ones big enough to run around in
  10. Statistically 9 out of the 10 people enjoy gang rape
  11. yep, you heard correct, approx £250 and it will come with fitting kit of it needs it, exceptionally cheap i think im making it to be the same as a stock plenum, although the only thing that would change is there will be no middle 6 bolts, like the kintetix but, it will still have the stand on the inside though, like the kinetix i will supply the 6 small screws to go on the inside of the plenum, also the top will be flat instead of having the 3 humps, if anyone knows if this will make a difference please let me know i might start new threads for who wants what, might ,make it easier and leave this thread purely for the plenum on another note, i need to ask him wether it will be shiney carbon with a glaze or in its pure dullish form..... clarkie34 and ian, ive put your names down, ill check how many orders ill need to get it going when i get home, i think it may only be 6 orders i need, ill make all the surrounds with the hole missing for the strut as it will give people the opportunity to change to the struts or keep the standard rod while im at it, does anyone want a carbon rear Z badge, think im going to have some made up, and ill get pics posted
  12. And I'm feeling the pain on the mould prices.. I'm willing to give this a shot, if it doesnt work it doesn't work but there's always got to be a first, and somebody silly to waste money trying (that's me)
  13. He's wanting to make it exactly the same size as the original plenum but with a 5/16 spacer moulded in so it would work in the same way and setup as a oem plenum with motordyne spacer, would this still need ecu work? I've had no work done to mine apart from resetting it, there are about 10-15 people working in mass production at gfibre, he works on BMW race cars, I agree he should put some extra pics up on thier site
  14. I will be getting them done, but I'll need a few orders of them, otherwise as the moulds are expensive to buy I'll never get my money back, eventually I'm hoping to have most of the engine bay available to buy, I'm even looking into pulleys to see if I can get them to work
  15. Excellent news mate, I'm only work tuesday days next week so can get it sorted
  16. I am going into production of carbon fibre Z badges if your interested? Prices will follow shortly
  17. UPDATE:- the plenum will take 2 weeks to make the mould, so as soon as I can get a plenum i think I'll put it into production, and have one made up, he guarantees that it won't break and to reinforce that he will give a 12 month replacement warrenty.. As for the battery and brake fluid surrounds, they have an approx price on £75 for the set, and that will replace the oem parts I've given him a Z badge, he will get back to me on prices, and they can be made straight away if anyone is intereted in them? Scott
  18. I beleive but I'll check later, it's around 6mm at the back and 14mm at the front, I'm sure somebody can correct me, think I'll try dyno it myself, If I discount any more people, I'll never make my money back on the mould
  19. The plenum will have the spacer moulded into it so it will be a whole unit, and will still be able to use the oem strut, did you have a look at my thread it should answer a few questions
  20. agreed... but That depends which bolts you snap, the 6 in the middle could be a problem, but would it be a warrenty problem if the user broke the plenum? it's just something different, everyone can get the spacer with the oem plenum, I've done it,
  21. I'm sorting the plenum and other engine parts in my thread above so you can use that for questions there tech carbon is currently in the process of doing the interior
  22. It's in planning stages at the moment but everything has it's limits and if you over torque it yes it could potentially crack it, but that goes with the kinetix, and goes with the standard plenum except you would snap the bolts instead
  23. pOst in my thread mate so it doesn't block tech carbons thread up
  24. viewtopic.php?f=32&t=24954 there's the link guys to my thread and other Engine bay carbon goodies, as for the warranty I'll ask today but I would expect a years warrenty which will be a replacement, which I believe is standard, it shouldn't crack though as carbon fibre as long as done properly is as strong as most things
  25. viewtopic.php?f=32&t=24954 I've got the plenum and spacer sorted mate, have a look at the thread for this and other engine bay goodies sorry for putting this link in here tech carbon, I thought as you were concentrating on interior I'll leave it alone and do engine bay parts so we wasn't in direct competition, let me know if it's ok or I'll remove it
