Right before i get started here i would first like ot make it clear that Japspeed are in no way responsilbe for this and have been very helpfull about the matter.
Ok, Well my exhaust was delivered on tuesday as part of the K2 Group buy. Unfortunately i was back in wales at the time. I quite often have parcels deleivered ot my house while im away, being on and RAF camp security is quite good and the drivers are usually happy to leave the parcels inside the front door. When i am away i leave a not with my contact details and instructions should there be any issues.
I had a call about 10am on tuesday from the DHL driver saying that he was attempting to deliver the parcel but that no one was home, i explained that i was back in wales but would he be able to put the parcel inside the door as usual. He said no probem but the box is damaged.
At this point i stopped ihm and said before you put the parcel in the house what do you mean by damaged? He replied that the box was split and that part of the exhaust was sticking out of the box, he said it looked like one of the flanges.
I said im happy for you to put the parcel in the front door, providing you write that i was accepting the parcel as damaged and that i will be carrying out out a full inspection upon my return.
Anyway i got back Wednesday very excited to see the shiny new exhaust and fit it. But here is what awaited me inside the door.
To say i was shocked was an understatement.
The hole in the box in the last picture i could quite easily have got my head through.
I opened the box to check the contents, then phoned Japspeed immediately to inform them of the damage and to confirm the box contents.
There were some minor blemishes on the back box but to be honest i was just glad that i was all there and in one peice.
I will NEVER use DHL ever again, this isnt the first time i have had problems with them. Previously they left a laptop i had sent away for repair in the back garden of an address 5 streets from mine after forging my signature. The only way i actually got it back was that the nice lady brought it round, the driver in that instance was sacked.
