Heres a pic of the berk CAT's Why does it have 2 O2 sensor 'holes' on it?

Is that OEM orange, it looks too bight to be. I wish mine looked like that! I get almost tempted to have an outside only respray in a brighter orange, as leaving the shuts/engine bay etc.. the colour it is wouldnt be a problem.

This is local to me, i was almost tempted a while ago, but i want a vented one really. Still i could have a look to suss it out for you guys!

Iirc quite a few nismo exhausts have failed on the flexible joint when highflow cats or decats have been used, but seem to be fine with the standard cat. Thats a good point. They do flex too much or something if the decats dont have mounts like the standard cats? Does that make sense? I think the std cats had a mount to brace them and decats dont? Maybe too much flex for the Nismo Y-pipe to take. Just wanted to make sure it wasnt because of the worn braid as thats the same as mine My APS ones have all the mounts that the std cats do, they seem to be very good quality, i just think that the already damaged flexis cant take the combo of higher heat and more flow, and have given up the ghost. What a pain in the bum!

I thik its just flexing a lot more and getting a lot hotter with the decats on now chris. I burnt my hand on the tailpipe tip at the back of the car when looking at it yesterday!

Hi guys, My nismo Y has finally given up the ghost and is blowing noticably now at the flexi sectioons making one hell of a noise! I wondered if anyone localish to berkshire had a cheap std one i could get quickly to put on, or if any traders had one in stock. Im fitted in at a garage tuesday afternoon to have whatever i csn get hold of fitted, so would need to be able to collect / have it delivered before then. Any help appreciated, thasnsk Adrian

indeed, mine are +20 , 9" front, 10" rear and they sit just right, if they were out any further id get rubbing, but i havent had a single rub the entire time they have been fitted.

Chilli Red is looking at getting them in, they might do a group buy but i dont know how many would be required for this.

I have APS test pipes on mine now, and blimy do they rasp, it sounds either incredibly good ro increadibly bad depending on what you like! I kinda fancy some road legal pipes tho, but £500+ is a lot for 2 short pipes wirth some foil in it!

I am now trying to hold of a pair of sports CAT's and am wondering where would be the best place to source some from? I'd like some good quality ones, ideally Berk's or similar, but dont know where to start looking for these. Any advice much appreciated.

I looked for a LONG time, i cannot find any gold nuts that have a locker, and i really dont want my wheels stolen. The Rays or 5Zigen ones are both nice, and a lot lighter than std ones. Sarah do you have the long red 5Zigen nuts in yet?

+1 - Thats what Adrian said to me when he was getting his decats done No No No Chris, We did it from underneath, was DEAD easy with a bendy spanner. Swapped both cats in around 30 mins. Much easier job then expected, it would be a pain in the butt doing it from above. Adrian

Only rear jerry, the front requires replacement arms (£300+) but are not needed. The front doesnt go wildly out of spec when lowered like the rear does. You do however NEED some sort of rear TOE/Camber adjustment, it goes miles out. Also people seem way to worried about camber, you can run 3deg no worries, its the toe going out of spec that will wear out your tyres and make the car handle like a dog. If you fit springs, you have to factor in 4 wheel alignment + possibly Toe/Camber adjusters at the rear The OEM setup does have some adjustment for toe/camber, it just might not be enough.

Nismo V2 spoiler with Carbon Blade... PLEASE!

Personally, i know a lot of people dont like it, but i'd get the spokes done the colour of the brembo calipers... Would be a tad in your face tho, but i think your car would pull it off easily.

Might still end up being mate! Does this mean you have ordered yours? Your welcome to have a listen to mine now the cats done. If i end up not liking the rasp i might sell the 5Zigen with the Nismo Y, see what i can get for it. Adrian
