  1. Where are you getting them done mate, do they do a better price with more than one set
  2. I have just bought 2 245/35/19 Vreidestein Ultrac Sessantas for the front of mine, will be comparing them to the Falken FK452 that came off. The falkens only did about 7-8k on the fronts for me, strangely the rears still have about half tread left!!!!
  3. Exactly the same issue as me, i have had to order the entire hub carrier :-( rediculous money from japan all for a ball joint. #Mine is knackered tho, loads of play, as well as a split boot...
  4. LOL i dont think my tyres will take it, but i would like to hop in with one of you guys in the first run if i can, never been to coombe and would like to get a few pointers before i go out! If anyone would be ok with that let me know, cheers.
  5. Mark, im well up for a meet locally if you want to get a few more and have a reference thread, standing and drive by's Just let me know when!
  6. Well BC choose stiffer front than rear, which it seems is a way to keep the rear end more easily in check... The more developed track coilovers such as HKS Hipermax 3 sports etc.. use matched spring rates front / rear removing some of the cars understeer. I'm betting that 12/12 is a sweet spot for the Z, and higher and it might be just that bit too stiff. Also at the price they are selling for, im doubting that 'BC' have put much R&D into the spring/damping rates as std!
  7. I'm on track at this aswell, 2 sessions, 10:30 and 11:15 :-) Are you guys doing track day insurance? Helmet rental? I'm slightly concerned about the noise limit, but if the K1 brigade will be there, mine wont have any worries!
  8. Well just got off the phone with BC, and they say if specified when ordering, you can have almost any spring rates, then they will custom valve the shocks for that spring rate at no extra cost. Sounds pretty good to me, you still get the damping adjustment, just with the base damping lvl set to match the springs. So question is what spring rates would people go for? Im thinking something along the lines of 12F/12R?
  9. Hey Gaz, So can you get them with different spring rates? Id be very interested if 10/10 or 12/12 were available aswell. Would you be able to order them at these rates with the discount applied? Adrian
  10. How do you find them nurrish, any advice? Stiff or not? Quality ok? Cheers Adrian
  11. +1. My CE28Ns took 3.5 months. Are these the ones that have just arrived at TGM in fleet?
  12. Hi Guys, I'm looking for a set of coilovers currently, Max spend £1k, and im after a track (focus) set with spring rates of 10Kg/mm and higher, preferably with adjustible damping but not essential. Lots of options availble in the states, Stance, K-Sport Drift, Megan Track etc.. but none seem to be available in the UK? I have heard that BC's can be ordered with different rate springs, but am unsure if this is the case, and also if they are any good! Be great to hear peoples (and traders) opinions on this. Cheers Adrian
  13. Normally coilies are threaded such that one full turn = 2mm mate, hope thats helpful.
  14. I have become a victim of this today... Was looking at the play at my front end, turns out the drivers side front hub carrier ball joint is toast. Guess what its removable and nissan will sell you the cir clip and washers for it, but you can only get the bush as part of the hub carrier as a whole, £500 from nissan, man i was angry! Anyhow looked on the net and have found a new one direct from japan for £300, still a hell of a lot, but much better. Annoys me so much that they wont sell joints (£50) without the entire hub assembly which i dont need!!!!

Do it, i posted up a pic of a white Z in the US with the std rays refurbed that way ages ago, it looked fantastic with spacers on.

    Wheel advice

Personally i'd change the wheels... If you really want to keep your rays, do them time attck, satin black with red lip, See ians car for how great it looks.
  17. Japspeed are a cheap brand, their manifold and decats are seperates, the decats alone are around £100
  18. Somewhere around £75 taddy mate, the APS ones are some of the best quality ones around, and were in the region of £250 new!
  19. Should only rasp if its thin piped!! I know where there is a spare set to give it a go!! I've got my APS ones going spare if you fancy them at a reasonable price, i get rasp now with the sports CAT's in even but its a great noise. I would love to get headers to finish it off, and you can get them reasonably cheaply. Has anyone tried the japspeed ones... http://www.japspeed.co.uk/Nissan-350Z/N ... -19-1-261/
  20. Yeah i was going to say, why are they not viable for road use? I dont mind it taking a tad longer to get in and ready to go, and if passengers do they can walk :-P
  21. It is raspy, not as much as when it was de catted, but still noticable. Works well with my exhaust, and i have a lot of comments that my car sounds fantastic now.
  22. Looks like you can get FIA approved rails from bride... http://www.neweraparts.com/Default.aspx ... ductID=243 List them for the 350Z :-) Will these fit with buckets from other manufacturers?
  23. Yeah this is my daily driver :-P Im looking at hardening the car up a bit, and im not fussed about needing to slide the seat etc... Im also japanese size small build, so i can fit comfortably in a tiny bucket What do you need FIA certification for Lizard, surely on a track day they wont need this as i dare say the std ones arent!
