  1. ok. does a body kit count as a single mod or several?
  2. this thread will end up very 'interesting' again lol a bit too general a subject m8. it would be better if you gave a budget and more info like road use, show car or track weapon etc etc.
  3. cant comment on stoptech as i v never tried them. PF are the only ones that lasted long enough to have a visible lip...and no judder at all!!! noisy yes but thats prob because of my pads. as for ebc, brembo, dixcel and those australian ones (cant remember the name) the PF ones are way ahead. i v tried the rest
  4. what alex says or wanted to say is that what you want to remove is actually held tight just with a metal ring. 2 of those tyre removal flat metal bars alex is mentioning do the job. one each side or at quarter to 3. if you put the same amount of pressure on both bars, the 2 sides of the diff that look like stars come out fairly easy. just a bit catchy at first. if you are trying to do it with one tool only you ll be lucky to get them out plus you may damage the rings. oh and make sure they dont land on your foot if the car is on the ramp.
  5. same question for the millionth time. i see a few of us suggest that there will be issues with the ESP. is it only me that didnt have any probs? i can safely say no probs at all. tried and tested with a few sets. ps2s, 050As and 888s. rays with and without spacers. slightly harsher ride yes, wheel arches showing a bit emptier yes, slightly sharper steering yes, cheaper defo yes.
  6. then again good excuse for exedy and fidanza bits when you are ready m8 let me know
  7. just a quick update as i had the gt-spec fender bracings fitted. they make more difference than the lower front brace and the tanabe brace together!!! even before i pick the car up the body shop guy was surprised by the quality and fit. but the steering is miles more accurate than before. i know its a hell of a job to fit them but they are not overly expensive to buy and comparing to the lower brace they are a much much better mod. second thing after my track day at donington and a few testing road miles is that the racelogic works better with the rays. it may be cos it needs to be adjusted for bigger rims. but it works at its best with the rays and without spacers. ps. a 911 driver who was behind me on the track came looking for me at the pits to congratulate me for a great save during that lap. a few rain drops after a warm day with plenty of tyre on the track is a very dangerous combination. the racelogic was on 5% which is the maximum for the wet according to the RL manual. still too much. needs to be used with care!!!
  8. 13000 miles and wear markers on both. wear markers yes if you live in south italy. after writing the maser off 3mm is the minimum. and thats on the inside. thing is you hit standing water once. and that could be 2 miles down the sunny motorway in england. 13000 miles...thats awesome to my experience hehe...and 5mm front 4 rear should be fine on the 050s. but why can you not change tyres mid winter? you can reassess tyres/weather/miles you do/road you are driving at any given time ps if you think the stones are noisy dont ever try the ps2s
  9. Is that 225/40 front and 245/40 rear? Or did you run completly the same tyre size on each corner? Cheers it has to be 225/40/18 front 245/40/18 rear. the price difference between 40 and 45 is stupid i know. and i v run these sizes with and without spacers and from average to catch the cat's eyes drop too.
  10. well worth it IMO agreed Fair point but thats £200 less for fags and booze I think ill go for the 225/40 and 245/40 option. The speedo will over read so its not too much of a problem. i v run 40s on more than 4 sets of tyres. ps2s and 050As. my 888s are also 40 prof. never had an issue m8. expect the car to be a bit lower than on 45s tho. speedo shows 34 when actual speed is 30 according to my road angel pro. uniroyals have good reputation in the wet. ps2s very very good and so are the 050As. i know there are proper winter tyres out there as well but havent got a clue about them.
  11. got one as a present. had to have a look on the internet to find out what it was. coming from my titanium bulova i would say it weights a tonne!!! but i like it and once on my wrist for a bit then i cant feel it. wear it and you ll get used to it! it seems to make an impression too
  12. +1 i really like Marks car. and if they werent that heavy i would have had lambo doors by now too. i am sure Mark is cool about the whole thing...he's not 16 any more. time to move on
  13. cam chain? just a thought. i know they dont need changing but that doesnt mean they dont go wrong.
  14. i personally prefer mine. although most of the work done is hidden viewtopic.php?f=25&t=29153&start=60 some pics here and many more on fb Christos Ziaras (there is a pic of me in my apron, cooking...no comments thanks)
  15. my maser had it ... it revved at 7500. on hit it a couple of times by mistake. if the zed had one it would have been it the manual?

  20. i give everybody the benefit of the doubt tbh as i am a good driver in the zed and a pr@ck in the beamer i am sure everybody has done smth at some point. and i dont get upset that easy any more. a few months ago driving to manchester, m62 white van doing 60 on the outside lane and behind him me and lots of others. had enough after a few miles and undertook him. heavy traffic further down he caught up with me undertakes me from the inside and sharply pulls in front of me where there was space for a smart if that!!! that at about 50-60 mph. had to slam the brakes and use all the runway towards the central reservation to avoid crashing. then he started hitting the brakes and accelerating. i slowed down and so did he...went on the middle lane and so did he!!! i could see other drivers' faces and flashing their lights at him. crossed my mind to stop him and get the torque wrench behind the passenger seat...then i thought i ve got a flight to greece to catch...down to third and practiced my stupid driving through the traffic for about a mile. i am sure whoever didnt see what happened behind them thought i was a c@ck my point is although some drivers frustrate me sometimes...i am sure i frustrate others too. no need to rant
