+1 ....... its always worth a go It's up to you to claim the Council were negligent in not repairing the hole. And as the wheel is probably cast alloy, then no, it's not repairable. it wasnt a pothole. although we ve got millions of those in hull. thanks for the last comment...you made my day...
  3. Now then m8. i know we had our disagreements in the past. but we ve agreed at many things since then. I was reading your post and i found out that without knowing each other we have exactly the same things. i could not agree more with everything you have said. from the barakes...to the bracings to the tyre review! excellent ps you missed on the gt-spec fender bracings. you would have loved them!! i know they are a pain to fit as you have to remove the wings but i tried them after fitting the rest of the bracing kit like you. amazing. one of the best mods as the quality is perfect and they eliminate the front subframe's horizontal flex. mind you the front end maybe a bit too pointy for some

may do if it cant get repaired guys... i mean speak to the manufacturer... i cant claim for no reason tho... its against my principals. i clipped it myself. but if it can be repaired... will it be as strong as before??

Went to Rs tuning yesterday for a run on the dyno as the car felt running a bit lean low. Plus check the difference between the nismo filters i had before and the k&n i v got now on the nismo intakes. Before i start i will say that it looks that low and middle the car has lost a bit (2-3 bhp) bhp and torque with the K&N filters. Car went on the dyno Paul has a look and turns to me nodding no no!! What? whats up? Cant do a full run m8. Your rear right rim is f@@@ed!!! Had a look myself as the wheel was running on the rollers. It was drawing ss !!! I could even see the car wobbling about. Bugger!!! I was at the tyre place the day before as i remembered hitting a pot hole with the front left and had it balanced. The car was very jerky at over 80-90mph before. after balancing i could still feel something wasnt exactly right but the tremor was hardly noticeable on the road. I memember clipping that rear rim a couple of times but it was only clipping on the edge!!! how can i have twisted the full outer disk horizontally??? If it was vertical i would say fair enough...pot holes....but horizontally??? Now i am taking it to the tyre shop as he said they will reheat and reshape it.....but will it be safe? will it be perfect??? I love the fact that my zed is not speed limited any more.....but i dont wanna die.....
  7. + 10000000000 if it was 20bhp then maybe yes...but for 2-3bhp and a couple of pounds of torque...
  8. cool. wanna see the final result....may adopt if it works as i am not spending stupid money on a new amuse splitter
  9. is it smth that will be on the car permanently or is it only for track days? hope its not heavy m8 cos if you add the down force on it it may rip your bumper...
  10. it wont go dont worry. if you wanna see whether it is on its way change 3rd to 4th with the accelerator pressed. if its on its way you ll get loads of clutch slip and it will take the revs a while to settle for the speed. you should be doing about 50mph at the most.
  11. pm Zmanalex why do you want to change in advance tho? have you got any probs with it? and btw check the slave cylinder as well. they tend to go wrong .
  12. +1 exactly what they mean
  13. and all that for over 10k more than the previous model
  14. if he thinks he is man enough he can do the same thing in heavy traffic in athens with 10 motorbikes and mopeds behing him.
  15. just said above what i does. its not about a quick change but a smooth change.
  16. the reason why it works is because it prevents you from a forced ultra quick gear change. it does work. he means a blip not a nailing. the best way to change up smoothly is by killing the clutch. problem solved...till you need a new clutch
  17. all i ll say is i am a bmw driver and you d better get outta my way unless you are lucky enough to see me in the zed
  18. ok then start a thread! been at the ring for the first time mid april and the weather was fab. it is true weather in april can be hit and miss but if its early may then it should be more hit than miss and it wont interfere with the clubs wales run either..... mr gt4zed i would have never dropped out if i knew it
  19. i would drive anywhere me what about hull rotterdam??? or i can meet up with you there. or anything. i would go next week if anything
  20. amazing driving.... on another note however...i wanna go too...when are we going??? anybody for a ferry trip to holland then ring and back? we can stay at the lovely town of koblenz and even include a night in amsterdam too. leave wed come back sunday...
  21. very nice machine. look at it, drive it then get out and look at it again...and so on...

    4.08 gears,

+1. debating with the idea.... Greekman, I am surprised you did not change your final drive when you got the LSD But everything else was spot on and your handling must be something else i suspect as mine if really good but could be improved with bushing and LSD You got the best balance modded zed here IMO thanks m8 Zed is looking good and goes even better...well with rays on anyway... handling and exit of corners are in a different league now...and braking too. havent finished modding it yet. looking into the bride catalogue as we speak and from next year it will have a pair of snail shells under the bonnet thats why i didnt look into the 3.9 final drive. plus i tend to drive on the autobahn every now and then paddy m8 4.08 may be a bit too much for around town. think of fuel consumption and a million gear changes. then again why not try both and give us some feedback???

  24. now it has to be after your heavy winter as for the mods...i love my aerial...and its signal. sorry - Coilovers...i am running HKS hypermax sport 3 and they are fab! - Amuse front bumper and chargespeed rear look the best imo - after market exhaust and hi-flow cats for sound - uprev all the way and a drop in filter (the last shouldnt count as a mod) - full gt spec bracing kit. and i mean full. dont overlook the fender bracings. they are a must have (spacers on stock rims shouldnt count as a mod) now you look ok you sound fab and you go even better and then the rest - disks, pads, lines - uprated anti roll bars - lsd - adjustable camber front and rear arms - rear spoiler (you wont need a front one with the amuse bumper) - side skirts - alloys - plenum spacer for pre-08 (ideally with the uprev and drop in filter) - lightweight flywheel when new clutch is needed - led rear lights - post-08 headlights - bride seats - decent headunit and speakers - nice dinky and heavy gear knob - etc etc etc..............
