  1. Isn't there any concern that this don't eliminate fine partcles as efficiently as stock item, which could cause damage to bores ?
  2. Wanted for my daughter. I'm based Essex/Suffolk border. Must have FSH. Thanks.
  3. Of interest to anyone ? On retention.
  4. Another ex VX220 (NA) owner here. Owned from new for 5 years and 76k miles. Engine and handling mods so went very well. Agree with most of above. VX and Zed two different cars. Only had Zed 2 months and not yet been on track so can't really compare how responsive on limit etc. But Zed is obviously fast and comfortable (& warm) place to be. I don't fit seat as well as VX though. Looking forward to doing more miles in Zed and having a play.... (Evo, 5th gear etc love them VX220 ownership is far more extreme, but then you do get the total feedback of a lightweight car - horses for courses really. I have a north weald day this Friday - if it's wet and cold I'll take the Zed instead of Caterham. (say hi to the 116 and vx220.org crew for me
  5. ooops off looking for the post with your modified pics...

  8. I voted to leave as stock, purely because your car is in such top notch condition.
  9. some will make a negative comment on any car you or others may drive, even if their mode of transport is a lame donkey, some individuals are just gifted with charm and wit (and makes them feel better). best response - just laugh and join in with the joke - never, ever bite
  10. I'll have to miss this one - but hopefully ok for the next. Have a good meet... I very much enjoyed the last get together.
  11. well I might go mad and replace the 'Nissan' badges with the 'Z' ones on show... trouble is I know once you start it's a slippery slope having modded my last car (all performance and handling related)... but I did this as I evolved with the car and got used to it - mostly for track days and sprints... I get my adrenalin rush now racing a Caterham - so I'll keep Zed stock for the time being, until maybe I find any fast road limits - but there might not be any ?? at least for my modest driving standards.
  12. great to meet a friendly bunch and get loads of info on how to care, run and mod a Zed
  13. Bonnet looks great The stickers that are missing are those that are needed to race ! I don't know a race series that would allow entry without MSA safety stickers (plus hareness, full roll cage etc ).... except maybe club sprints ? Which race series is this car in ?
  14. Just to let everyone know. My problem was fixed by following this advice, ie. bleeding/changing clutch fluid. From others experiencing this problem as well I'm assuming it's not a service item ? This should be the case as my fluid was old and contaminated - hence it broke down with heat. Did a 350 mile round trip after fix and all ok Note. Bleeding was a bit tricky... once pressure was released on slave cylinder clutch pedal went to the floor and then stayed there !! you have to lift pedal back up and pump gently back down (in fact it goes down by itself !). Releasing bleed nipple and working up and down, with someone else keeping master cyl full soon had all old fluid removed and working perfect.
  15. welcome fellow newbie - you'll be amazed at the info available that these chaps have collected and made available to all - this makes ownership of a Zed so much easier - get browsing
  16. loving the look of your car have you noticed any loss of visibility at night with eye lids on ?

    Urgent help!!!

you should have a 'tyre placard' visible when you open drivers door just below lock mechanism.
  18. many thanks Gixxer for your patience and advise - I realise it's hard work looking after newbies on car forums... too many questions (that have probably been asked before you're a credit to this club thanks to others as well........
  19. ok - last question for now... is slave cylinder position obvious once you get under car and bleed nipple on slave cylinder ? (last time I did this it was on a Mk 1 Cortina !!) cheers...
  20. cheers again.... will bleed system at weekend...
  21. good idea to check fluid movement when fault occurs so far when this has happened and then with the clutch down, there is no creep (ie. clutch working ok) and driven for another 30-40 mins without problem except that there isn't any free movement of clutch pedal and it remains just off the floor (this gives very quick gear changes...). I can lift clutch pedal with foot and it then remains in position until I use clutch again.
  22. thanks to all... - checked fluid and level is ok and clean - when problem occurs clutch works ok, but pedal movement is immediately on clutch biting point. I'm also suspecting seal/fluid as problem only occurs after 45-60mins driving, and then disappears after 30mins if car not used. So heat impacting contaminated fluid - or is this just wishful (ie. cheap fix) diagnosis ?
  23. I just bought adaptor from ebay £99 delivered after reading advice here. (just search ebay with '350z bluetooth'). Just plugs in cradle - you get instructions. Once in it works great. You shouldn't have any problems as bluetooth is recognised standard - or to be sure check with supplier you can return if it doesn't work. Why go to the bother of fitting another devide when the car is all wired for handless operation including steering wheel controls ?
