  12. Apologies - only just caught up with this thread. I will definitely attend and track please. I need to go through previous posts to find out how to book and pay - or is this being managed by club (sorry again for late response and dumb questions). Mick
  13. Open drivers door, and on the panel between the outside of the door and the inside (where lock etc is) there is a small 'allen head' screw/bolt roughly in-line with the bottom of exterior door handle. For some reason this is rusting (on otherwise immaculate car) so I want to whip it out and clean or replace. Just want to check it's not part of any door lock/window adjsuting mechanism, or anything will fall off inside. (the same screw/bolt doesn't exist on passenger side). Thanks.....
  14. my P3 was as follows. this was 1st P3. 4yrs old at 25k miles, @ main dealer:- Total price was as quoted @ £339.19. No additional work was required, other than noticing space saver spare was just under required pressure (probably because it recently did ~180 miles due to rear puncture) so a good spot and advisory to keep an eye on it. Service was as per P3 requirements, ie. new oil/filter, brake fluid, coolant, air cleaner. They also used engine flush, fuel additive etc which was previously advised and quoted within price.
  15. thanks for replies I have T1Rs all round. New at back ~40% worn on front, but with slight inside feathering. I really don't know yet if alignment has made much difference... I need to go out and test on same piece of road in the dry as before. It's been really wet where I am so haven't really got a reference point for local back roads (either wet, covered in grease and grime etc). Greekman - I agree if gentle on throttle then I can actually get gentle slide with ESP coming a little and keeping under control. But transition from throttle to braking is same problem as Adam - but I am pushing it quite hard (in safe environment) - not a problem if normal/fast use - but again this is relative so hard to tell. I'm certainly no where near track speed.... this would def cause an issue, but then again track surface is much better than local roads, plus warm tyres etc so less slip likely... I'll have a play at weekend and report back if generally ok then I'll wait until I replace fronts, have aligned again and take it from there.
  16. I wasn't a 100% happy with my Zed handling when pushing hard, including fast bends at intersections on motorways. Car didn't feel 100% planted. Plus on one occassion I had to brake on fast motorway bend/exit and traction engaged on front wheel. So, after reading good advice/suggestions for similar experience on forum I went and had a full 4 wheel laser alignment (track, camber, tow etc). The initial report showed the rear to be a long way out. They corrected this, but with a couple of rear measures just out of tolerance - reason given was that the front tyres have slight uneven wear on inside. Within 0.5 mile of their premises there's a big slow roundabout - and the rear traction came on at ~30 mph !! went straight back, they blamed computer error (got upset due to big error on original settings ). Another guy then re-set everything, test drove it and ok. I then gave it a spirited drive over fast B-road in evening. Car feels ok (not sure if better until I compare like-for-like bend)... pulls out of corners well, being over aggressive on purpose easily lights up traction light as I would expect. BUT during transition of lifting to brake for bend, quite late braking on safe open piece of road, with the smallest amount of turn-in (ie. car not always perfectly straight due to curvature of road) traction control comes in on front wheel(s) !! Is this expected behaviour of the traction control ? or would you expect from your experience for it not to be so sensitive ? Rear tyres are new, front tyres 50% worn, with slight feather on inside of both. Sorry for long post and realise this is really something you need to see and feel. But just wanted an idea of how sensitive traction control is on a well set-up car ?? eg. yep they all do that that's why I run with traction off with no issues (when driving within reason) or traction should only be coming on front wheels if driving very poorly or you have something seriously wrong with geometry. Thanks
  17. not sure if connected or not. Maybe if Zed has fly-by-wire throttle control (ie. not a cable ?) I had this problem once on a previous car with fly-by-wire. On one occasion engine would tick-over fine but wouldn't rev above ~1k. Turned-off, back on and run ok. No problems for another 1k miles then happened again. Car had a good forum (like this one) and someone had found, after much re-setting of ECU and even changing it by dealer, that this was a dirty connection - in my case at the potentiometer at the accelerator pedal - there's effetcively two circuits, if they both don't give identical readout then car goes into safe mode. Another chap had identified all connectors which I cleaned, and then did another 30k miles with no issues.
  18. think the price is now £315. Seven places left as I right. http://bookatrack.com/-pE_Trackday-Calendar
  19. There's a track day the next day (Friday 13th) using the GP circuit. A few places left via bookatrack.com. Very rare to get on this circuit (but expensive). I'll be there but not using Zed. Will try and make this meet another month though
  20. Amazing.... (don't think I'll worry with washing mine again, seeing that you can resurrect it every now and then )
  21. your car looks fantastic - wow... (signature pics don't do it justice).
