A little lad about 5 or 6 walked past my car with his dad as I pulled up once, then the lad came back and waited patiently by the door till I got out so he could ask me how fast the car was that was better than the time a local chav told me my car was 'sick', and would I swap it for his mobile?

Thanks for the replies, I was going to change the indicator bulbs to LEDs but then change the relay to get the correct flashing speed... looks a little more complicated now!

I cant find any info about it, so can anyone tell me where the relay for the indicators is located cheers! Mike

The thing with a speed limit is though it's a LIMIT. You do not have to drive to it all the time. I see myself driving below the limit a lot if weather conditions / road surface or type of road (width, blind crests or corners etc etc) dictates it. Going round a 20mph corner in the rain at 50mph isn't going to cause that much less damage than at 60mph. If the driver took the corner properly there wouldn't be a problem....... +1..... And I hate the way they want to try and control the minority of people who drive recklessly, by punishing the majority who drive with a bit more common sense! I agree with James May in his telegraph column, where he says why do we have average speed cameras in situations such as motorway maintenance when its the middle of the night and no-one is working?! A blanket enforcement just annoys people because its a stupid rule, and its almost impossible to argue against anything that could even remotely be connected to 'safety'....

yeah I'd done about 40 miles since my light had come on, but driving at 60mph on the motorway meant the DTE went back up again. any volunteers to test out Pimm's theory?

yeah I know I keep bidding on them on ebay but not winning... ironically I used to have an s2000 aerial on a VW I had about 3 years ago, didn't think I'd be needing it again in the future

I ran mine a bit lower than usual, got 380 miles out of her, and 50 left on DTE on the boring motorway commutes... yet still only got 64 litres of V power in when I filled up, so... who's got closest to the full 80 litre capacity on a fill-up?

do you get a courtesy car with TDI I didn't ask, but I'd have thought it unlikely. Best to check what's included, as my price did include fitting the spacers (not a big job I know but still...)

I didn't notice plum coloured seats so I guess it didn't have them.. Although I could be wrong...
