  1. 0.7kg per litre, its density is less than water I once had alignment done after they fitted new tyres and they buggered it up by not letting the car settle properly before adjusting... and one of the lads claimed he'd adjusted and set it up right, I knew this was rubbish when the boss had to use a gas torch to free off the adjuster, it was that tight!
  2. still don't see the point of these iphones, although they are finally starting to make them actually do something useful, still just a fashion accessory imho
  3. I've got a few pairs of those, doesn't mean I remember to dig them out the garage though!
  4. its amazing how often you do stuff at home and think "If I was at work I'd have to have safety specs on now... ah not to worry it'll be ok....... aaargh got bits in my eye again!" sounds like yours was a close call there!
  5. As soon I registered the dispute it got escalated straight away to a claim. It did strike me as if he's lost control of the situation. Thankfully I haven't lost much money, but its still a little annoying...

    Little tweak to the car

A noticeable improvement then I take it! why the difference front to rear? don't they do them in the right sizes?

    Little tweak to the car

I do like those wheels what disks are those? are they any noisier than stock?
  8. I cancelled an order with Gaz after being told the parts were in short supply and waiting on delivery, this was after I'd waited a couple of weeks with no word from him mentioning there would be a delay. I then waited another 3 weeks for the refund to my paypal account (was out the country for 2 weeks) before contacting him again. He does actually answer his mobile when I've called, and the last time he actually advised me to file a paypal claim against him as there has been some fraudulent activity on the account and this would be the quickest way to get a refund. In total contrast, I put an order in with Sarah, got the items cheaper, and delivered as fast as the royal mail could manage! Top service

    TUG spotted!

i think i spend more time spotting z's than looking where i'm going
  10. spotted heading south on the M6 tonight, going past J17. I was going north. if it wasn't you then there's a copycat around!
  11. excellent! nice touch turning the wipers on though, good to have a clear view of the truck you just hit!
  12. not all that good when he let the banks do what the hell they liked though...
  13. I guess I've got a Ginger Tingler then! thanks for the replies, as long as its not a problem then I'm not bothered!
  14. hmm, that gave me BNP, UKIP, Tories, labour, green and lib dem... would NEVER vote BNP.
  15. I know most cars seem to do this to some extent, but my gear lever seems to move forwards and back quite a bit when going on and off the throttle. Also, at higher speeds, there's a bit of vibration through the gear stick. Would there be a bush thats worn somewhere that's likely to cause these symptoms, or any mountings I can replace that would stop/reduce it (without transmitting too much vibration to the cabin)? cheers mike
  16. I'm not voting, I registered for a postal vote this year as I'm usually away from home, but couldn't choose where to put my X yesterday. Where I live, the MP is actually quite good, he's been in for a fair few years now, the problem is that he's labour and I can't bring myself to vote for that idiot Brown... Can't say that I can make enough of an informed choice to vote, all the parties have many things that I disagree with and I haven't got round to weighing it up. I'd have voted Monster raving looney if they had a candidate, easy choice!
  17. I ordered mine on 19th April, it arrived today, just charging it up and will have a play tomorrow
  18. If the motorway is fairly clear or its through roadworks / average speed cameras, then cruise is the way to go. keeping a steady pace gets you better mpg, but its pretty boring . i'm doing almost 100 miles a day on motorways at the moment so get 400 or so miles to a tank.
  19. cool pics Merry Hill looks deserted for once!
  20. that happened to me when I was browsing a while ago, don't think my credit card would take that much hammering!
  21. Yesterday I was exiting the toll booth on the M6 Toll Road, and gave it the obligatory dose of heavy right foot and noticed a vectra also doing the same... I was a little quicker up to speed, but then he managed to stick close behind me, even when I eased off for a bit, and then booted it in 5th. He didn't seem to want to overtake though, just stick to my bumper. Noticed it was a 3.2 V6, but was a bit annoyed when I found out they only have 210bhp. wondering if he had done anything to it, as he did have aftermarket rear lights, so could have been into modding. Just goes to show that a few extra hp and a shorter 0-60 time on paper don't make that much difference on 'real-world' driving

    Mileage

2700 miles? don't you like driving it? I'm doing around 18k a year at the moment, thats two services a year
  23. another example of the motorist been seen as a soft touch!! if you have little scrotes causing trouble outside your house I bet it takes a lot more than 3 reports to get an asbo for them! so If I don't like someone and get 3 reports sent in of them alledgedly driving erratically then they should get an asbo?! Doesn't seem right to me!

    LEDS all round

Cheers Husky! I didn't lurk in the darkness long enough to see them go off I got these http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/501194t10-mini-light-tower-leds-xenon-white-lumen-p-2169.html for sidelights and they are really bright and look even whiter than the xenons

    LEDS all round

I put these dome lights in today, but noticed when they're off there is a very dim glow from them. does this mean they are drawing a small amount of current? anyone else got these from autobulbs?
