  1. I got one from ebay a while back, but have now crunched the other side so I would be interested if someone finds a supplier
  2. Another thing that annoys me is people on the motorway pulling out into my lane straight into the space I've left to try and keep a safe gap! (and I'm not talking as huge gap here either, probably a little less than the '2 chevrons' gap) It only encourages people to bunch up like idiots - then you get the outside lane of the motorway coming to a halt because everyone is too close to the car in front and can't see more than 3 yards ahead, so no time to ease off the gas but instead have to hit the brakes!!
  3. I hate people who pull out of a junction right in front of you, they know you will have to slow down, then they dribble along slowly and turn left again almost immediately!
  4. it does look splattered like it's been wet
  5. Not great pics but its fairly clean, exhaust needs a polish though
  6. thanks mr Biscuit, I thought it was ok, just didn't have anything to compare it to cheers Lee, I'll bear that in mind
  7. Fitted my plenum spacer today, which all went well, but I noticed a little bit of black stickiness around the butterfly valve. It didn't really look like a lot to me, considering she's done 60,000 miles, and no problems with idle... just wondered if it might benefit from a clean in the near future? inside the plenum was nice and clean, just a few black specks.
  8. A49 this morning, not quite sure where as I was off on a trek to avoid the closed M6...
  9. I'm just about to renew my insurance, oh the joy! I'm 32, 9 Years NCB, no points in last five years, or any claims (apart from windscreen). I've had this car for 3 years. My GF is on the policy as named driver, she has one no-fault claim in 2009, no points. Greenlight want £699 through Highway insurance, which is my best quote by far. I just tried admiral and its £1045! I don't get how people keep saying they are cheap? Last year my premium was £900, and the year before only £645, all with the same company! Comparison websites are useless if you have a car with any sort of modification, (even if it doesn't change performance or looks)
  10. some people have taken them out to reduce weight, they might want to get rid of one
  11. I didnt see lionel but i'd heard about him from the other lads who went there before!. I'm up here til a week on friday, but a meet would have to be after 7.30 :-)
  12. yeah it needed a refurb! I wandered up the marina last week and went to the chinese, there were a few old american cars around that day. And I noticed you have a few jellyfish in the marina
  13. I'm in the Grand, its not too bad since they redecorated. Less than 2 quid a pint too
  14. Don't think I'll risk the clamp, I have enough trouble removing all the seagull s**t every day, what is it with the seagulls up here?
  15. I've seen that one too, for about 800km the one I saw
  16. good point! I shall save the hotel some toilet paper tonight do you think I should park there every night until I have a huge collection of tickets? or will they think I'm taking the pee...
  17. yeah I read that thread, but I'm wondering if there is a difference in that I had actually bought a ticket, so had I entered a 'contract'... or does it make no difference? If the PPC can't charge me for parking with an expired ticket, then what is the point of me paying £3 for a ticket in the first place?
  18. I got a parking charge this morning, from 'LDK' up in Hartlepool. Couldn't get into the hotel car park so parked outside some offices across the road and paid £3 for 'all day'. Unfortunately parking charges apply 24 hours a day, but the ticket was only valid until midnight. I wasn't going to go out at 12:01am and buy another ticket, so I chanced it. And got a 'charge notice'. I know the usual response for a charge notice from a PPC is to ignore it, but in this case I had actually bought a ticket, but there was no option to buy a ticket for 24 hours (or at least until 8am the following day, which I would have done) What's people's opinions on this? I'm pretty sure the only way they can get money out of me is to take me to the small claims court for damages caused by loss of revenue from one parking space, which could only amount to £3.
  19. looks good, I like the tips.
  20. If its the same design as on an '04, then just read the oil level from the 'back' of the dipstick, it works for me.
  21. how close was it to the sidewall? You could get a second opinion... some tyre places just want to sell a new tyre
  22. I'm in the beer garden, forgot about the new series.

    Heyfever

Same here, i used to get it really bad, allerguc to dust and cats too. but now just take cetirizine every day. Can get it less than 10p a tablet from supermarkets or b&m etc. I find its much worse when im in the west mids for some reason lol. I normally work near the coast in the summer months which helps a lot, but may not be a good solution for everyone!
  24. From Junction 1 heading north on the M6, just after 6pm on Wednesday, mini convoy!
