  1. *Tried* to follow you It's really the junction pull outs in the wet that im interested in. I've had a few near-misses recently thanks to the 350z TC at junctions just stopping all forward motion completely for seconds on end (in the wet). I'm intrigued to know if the clunky TC of the 350z has been refined at all in the 370 - mainly for normal driving at junctions in the wet, that kind of thing. Most of the time the TC in mine is off..unless its raining badly. It's in these situations that, occasionally, the TC in the 350 feels more like an enemy than a friend I'm running Falken 452s with 6mm of tread...not the best tyre ever, but not ditch-finders either. These might be contributing the the TC getting muddled on occasions i guess.
  2. Sounds like a daft question. But the TC on both my 350z's (in the wet) can be 'dangerous' on some occasions when trying to pull out of a wet road junction. If i pull out from a junction with a little bit too much power (perhaps due to excess grease on that bit of road, or loose stones, or a heavy right foot etc) the car completely cuts rear power and leaves you stranded in the middle of the junction, slowly juddering out. Not ideal if another car emerges from round a bend at excessive speed and you need to get out of the way... Does the 370z offer better 'slip' and a more refined control when it cuts the TC on in similar circumstances? ie does the 370 actually allow the rear wheels to spin a little but controls the loss of traction in a more subtle manner allowing a safer and quicker exit from a junction? Turning the TC *OFF* in the 350 in the wet is one solution - but that then leaves the driver at the mercy of his/her own ego/ability/mental alertness which isnt always an ideal place to be I've seen a few reviews online where reviewers (in the wet) have said the 370 offers a more subtle form of TC - infact one video clearly highlights this as a 350z in the wet tries to drift out of a junction and gets stopped by the TC abruptly, but a 370 drifts quite politely out of a corner without much oversteer and with some decent forward motion. (Both instances look more like drift attempts though and not genuine 'normal' junction pull aways in the wet - hence me asking about the TC in a more 'real world' situation)
  3. Has Chris got a Fast Intentions exhaust? I don't think that he EVER mentioned that at Wales this year....
  4. Martin - unfortunately I haven't been able to get cover for work this weekend, so it looks like myself and Lydia wont be able to make it this year There's a possiblity that I'll have cover for Saturday afternoon/evening. So if we are able to mosey up for part of a day I'll drop you a text so we know where people are going to be (i assume at the bar in the hotel)
  5. This is now *SOLD* to Zugara pending pickup sometime in the near future. Mods - can i ask that this thread title is updated to reflect the sold status? Thanks
  6. Looks like 150 quid is highway robbery I'm happy to take 80 quid for the pair, collection. Anyone want them?
  7. *SOLD* pending payment from Wideboy
  8. No more Midnight Blue Zeds please! They are supposed to be a very rare colour!
  9. I've never been a fan of MidNight Blue.... *AHEM*
  10. Deposit taken - provisionally sold to Plummerman pending pickup later in the month. Can i ask one of the Mods to update the thread to state they are *SOLD* Cheers
  11. This came out of my old Zed. Never used, includes the larrge white mounting plate thingy to screw it down with. Ideal for someone looking to replace a missing or damaged SSaver, or a 370z owner wanted to do an Ebized install £50 collected please, or a decent offer. I'm located not far from J26 of the M1 Thanks
  12. I think these cost £75 for a pair or thereabouts. I only have the passenger unit for sale. A few light scratches over the Z logo, and again at the end of the unit. Two light blemishes on the top (black) end. Probabably just needs a good clean - been sat in my garage for a year or so! £20 - collection only please. Located not far from J26 of the M1 Thanks
  13. These came off my HR engined (308bhp) Zed after the Stillens were fitted. They don't have any mounting screws/bolts, but do contain the paper filters. I'm not certain how much these later airboxes are worth.... possibly loads or naff all lol To protect myself from offering them too cheaply, I'm asking for £150 for the pair collected. If this is highway robbery, please feel free to PM or post with a more accurate s'hand price for these, and i will amend the sale price. Collection only please, location not far from J26 of the M1 Thanks
  14. This came off my old Zed. It has the additional plenum pipe with it. Sorry, i dont think i have the mounting screws or bolts anymore (although im sure Traders on here can supply them). It will need a filter too - it doesn't currently have one. £30 collection only - I'm located not far from J26 of the M1 Thanks
  15. Hi - I have my spare set of RAYS alloys which i am finally putting up for sale. They are in great condition - a few light scratchs and a couple of very light kerb markings. Otherwise more-or-less mint. Sadly the tyres are pretty shot - both rears are at the wear marker, and the fronts have bad shoulder wear on the inside edges. I can't vouch for the integrity of any of the rubber - TBH you would be a fool to run the car with these boots, they really need to be replaced. I'm looking for £475 collection only (or buyer arranges courier pickup). I think the lovely condition of the alloys offsets the poor rubber. I've seen worse sell for more in the past I'm based not far from J26 of the M1.
  16. Didn't Chris (Tarmac) have the 370z version of the Greddy Spectrum Elite available to order? I have to confess i haven't heard my 350z version externally yet (I think Tarmac got some video footage while at Wales?) but it seems to be the correct side of 'quite' at lower revs, and the correct side of 'loud' at highter revs The pics Chris put up last year of the 370 version of the Greddy looked stunning. Bigger tail pipes than the 350z version, and a full-system (CAT back) if i recall? I suspect this might be a bit pricey though? EDIT - is this it? Im at work so i cant 'hear' it lol ! http://www.greddy.com/products/exhausts/spectrum-elite/
  17. It's been a busy week since Wales for me, so apologies for not posting up sooner Massive thanks to all involved in the organisation of Wales 2012, another great event! Wonderful to meet up with like minded Zedders once again. Good banter and some great drives out! I've been slowly cobbling together my GoPro footage....the edit of me following Mikey on Saturday is over 6.4GB in size alone! I've also got footage of those kids on bikes on the reservoir road almost falling into LincolnBaggie's car, footage of me trying to follow Colin and saying "Where the f**k has Colin gone" , lots of film of Will's roadster, and a shed load of nice pics that Lydia was taking as we were driving along. At somepoint I'll get this lot sorted and uploaded. Probabably in 2014 knowing me lol ! I'll get a DVD of the raw edits out to Colin, Mikey and Will soon. I'll upload other bits and get them posted in the Wales video/pic thread. Once again, massive, massive thanks to all involved in making Wales 2012 one of the best car club meets in the UK
  18. This should have won a prize for best modified vehicle! It looked awesome parked outside the entrance to the Moreton bar! A really neat way of showing what the club was supporting
  19. Stick me down as a provisional Martin. I need to move my oncall shift for that weekend to be certain i can attend. Should know in a week or two. I'll also need to convince Lydia to spend a second weekend this year (after Wales) surrounded by Zeds and the nutters who own them (Ken) Also (slightly off topic) how is the Heaves looking for room-availability for that weekend? Still plenty of rooms left? (If i recall it's a biiiig place) 1. martinmac +1 2. Wasso +1 (tent) 3. AgentSmith350 - The Saturday 4. Ken 5. JetSet 6. 350ZCaroline 7. Max 8. Steve Burns Fri,Sat&Sun 9. Paul Wrangle Fri,Sat&Sun 10. ChrisS 11. garetgax + 1 12. Envy Valeting (Tim) 13. Andyvvc (provisional)
  20. What time are folks getting to the Moreton on the Friday? I've gone mental and booked Friday and the following Monday off work (not that i'm saying it will take me the whole four days to get to the Moreton!)
  21. At about 25 seconds in - anyone recognise the Midnight Blue 350z + Greddy exhaust trying to overpower the M5? Turned out the M5 was de-catted and had no silencers..... but i carried the torch for the V6 brigade lol (when the M5 stopped howling!) Also great to have a free chat from Tony Jardine and a few of the Nissan Academy drivers, plus the fella who designed the Batmobile/DeltaWing. As best i can tell from the PistonHeads forum, the Police were involved later in the morning due to "excessive noise" which some neighbours complained about. Nice selection of cars. A wonderful F40, Lambos, several GTRs, a few 350 Zeds (on from 'the other forum') and one nice looking 370 with the midnight purple/black rose paint. And some rather silly American muscle, and a plethora of TVRs all seemingly devoid of any form of exhaust silencing

  23. Front window under the rear view mirror works well for me. Ak350 also tried the rear window looking forward at drivers and chairs which alos looks pretty good. The suction cup works on the outside of the car too.... but after seeing footage of a guy with an R8 doing it like this and then the cup coming loose...i probabably won't risk it lol !
  24. The reserve list seems to be moving A LOT of people up into the main 500...any of you lot now on the main list to attend???
