So here goes nothing, got my badges today and decided to give it a bash to get the old ones off and these new ones on!
Tools used:
Halfords rubbing compound
Halfords polishing cloth
Butter knife (plastic from IKEA)
Chop stick (eating kind... not joking) in wood.
Heatgun (B&Q)
So I went ahead and heated up the front badge first, a bit to much I think since I managed to melt the paint on the side of the badge
Went ahead anyway with lower heat setting on the heat gun! (some heat from it!) Took the butter knife and stuck it in on the side of the badge and bent the badge off took no more then 10 seconds
. The fun part started with trying to get that sticky gluish stuff away from where the badge had been sitting. Used the butter knife here and the chop stick wrapped in some cloth. (worked pretty ok) After a lot of elbow grease and heat I used a cloth with some rubbing compound to get the last bits off the front. Looks good!
Now to the rear, repeated above BAR messing up the paint!
(got the bird poo of the boot too and also managed to get blisters on my fingers...
)
Here below are some photos:

Rear was a bit scary to do since you don't have much room for error putting the new badge on...
Now I put two of these in the fridge for later :bye:

PS: was trying to do nice attached photos but looks like it didn't like the dimensions and I can't be arsed changing them (sorry)

Yes, SILKOLENE has been used by me in my 300BHP Super-Charged Civic Type-R for over 3 and a half years, oil been changed every 3K, to some, thats overkill, but thats just me.
Silkolene is rated above existing standards, and will happily stay at 120 degrees on a track all day, or a daily drive without breaking a sweat, granted AMSOIL is good, but then theres Silkolene! Equally, MOTUL 300V Power is another one I would put in my engine, but I chose the SILKY.

I have run both the SSV and the Cosworth Plenums.
I had issues with the SSV previously running 500 bhp and had to reinforce and reweld the plenum seams. I now run 600 at the hubs with no SSV reliability issues since.
The later SSV plenums are now manufactured using a different process and are now trouble free.
No gains to be had if you remain n.a.
The Cosworth plenum is much more robust and since Cosworth changed there manufacturing process the quality issues have now been sorted.
I have a brand new Cosworth Plenum with Carbon End Covers which I am about to advertise, but it is available to members at the moment for £699.00.
Alex.
Is that the new revised version?
Yes
better logoff now before I go and spend 700£
