  1. mmm pay me 50% of the cost and I'll do it for you their webpage (cosworth) states 24bhp against standard.... that's some increase My Pure one did 8-9 from standard I might be willing to take the hit on testing this myself (I'll see what santa brings for Christmas...) 8-9HP? How long was it run before you did the dyno? Did you give the ECU time to learn it was there? There have been lots of rumours that if you dyno the car straight after the mod it will show gains, but then if you do it after say a month, the ECU has learnt the mod and cancels it out. Jury is still out on it, but no one is seeing consistent gains over these things other than the spacer giving more torque mid range. proved on dyno sheet, anyhow... mine is a JPM model and not a uk one dont think I suffer for that stuff above

  4. Late update, Still having some issues with the Haltech system... Have disconnected it now and waiting for a new loom from the US Had to take of the pure plenum spacer, had problems with the bolts unscrewing themselves so accidently overtightened one of them and it snapped right off. After opening to have a look the plastic washer/spacers where crumpled to sheit. Looking at either fixing it up or going for a complete replacement plenum and after market strutbar... Will keep u's posted, nothing worse then loosing 50+ hp

HALTECH'ED once again took 5min to install 1 1/2 hours of driving slow up and down not the better parts of Dublin , tuning it in... a bit now but the results are very promising, a retune of the 500-1500-2000-2500 RPM band.. feels smoother now then on standard ECU! More still to come though (gf) driving it into work tomorrow and will feed comments back to base , won't be able to drive it anymore myself for the next 5 days Anyway still goes like mad in the higher RPM's! Once I get a clean bill of health I can do some basic testing for you guys if you want. (if you give me a test program ) Gnite! Thanks Nic/CDA for all the time and effort so far!
  7. Yeah but there was some "issue" with the intake valve something or another (can't remember)... AH got it: "intake valve timing" issue... I think it just needs.. (sh*t slipping back into the guessing game! lol) Told my tuner he can treat sambos for meet 2009 (lmaaaaao)
  8. It's with the Haltech US and Halech AUS at the moment... I'll see what they wanna do will drive the car for another 2 days... Well at least its escallated to them, hopefully they will resolve it soon. Interested in the outcome as I was tempted to get one if it was reliable and giving good gains I'll keep all you guys posted on progress. was SO happy with the result (when not city driving...) think it's an easy tune setup ... (@*!# did it again, guessing that is.) Will sort something out for tomorrow I'll say.
  9. they had it for quite some time, I was in no hurry getting it back actually after the tune the cold start was SO much better then with std ECU! Think it might be the feedback setting that's causing it, but hey presto won't be guessing just waiting for any outcome...

  11. Have gone De-haltech Background; have had some problem with the car not running as smooth on lower RPM as it was before I tuned it, could be expected with lower tolerance levels (maybe?). Anyhow the car also started throwing back some error codes from the CEL light, started getting a bit worried here so went back and got it re-tuned (checked more like) engine light came on again on Friday, so it was decided to take the ECU out of the equation to see if it makes a difference to the behavior. I can say it does, smoothness is back again in low RPM , engine light has not come on since The car is now back to run like this though... , scary how you get used to the extra power! I'll keep you posted, the pure plenum spacer, dirt in throttle body has been mentioned as culprits... not sure though since they are no problems now. de-haltech is no fun at all...

Will let you know when I get home, its raining so dont want to goto the car and get wet Still raining? j/k Had a go on the Altezza I got and got the same response it takes a few RX/TX and then BANG (the dust is gone...) lost connection. Exact box name: ELM327 Ver1.2a Comes up in Device manager as (see attached pics on settings), cant see the buffer value as discussed here (only available for normal serial cables I think...) does anyoen have the driver details you use?

  19. thanks will do. ok I have had my pleniumnemium spacer fitted today, the garage also couldnt hook up to my car . any one else had this problem? Tried Bimoto with an ELM327 yesterday. Strange things happened. Got connected for about 5 seconds then it reset (disconnected) I could sit and redo that for as long as I want still the same result. In Windows it shows as a serial usb converter and the COM port is 8 so the program can find it and actually goes out and does a bit of RX/FX on the lights but it's like it founds out it does not like it... Mine is a JDM and wondering if that might be causing me some issues? Anyone else experience this?
