  1. I am intending on going next year.

Some of my mates are interested in coming with me, doubt they would be welcome with our lot? Civic type R EP3, Evo 8 and Focus RS.

What's everyone doing for insurance..... or is that a silly question ;)

Read about this the other day, could be worth checking out?

That insurance sounds like a no brainer to me.. 100 a day for 8 laps sounds cool to, see it as a 12min session * 8. Wonder what the inspection would be like 35€ probably means 30min checkup. They would probably do a group deal too :band:

Did you read the discussion as well - seems like it's as much use as a chocolate radiator as far as third party cover is concerned, only covers armco damage.

 6k cover as described in one of the comments for 130€... I did think that 3rd party wasn't needed, looks like I need to read up a bit more on this so. trackday in ireland and uk = you get crashed into tough!

;) I'd say you can do a group buy with a company if you get a few cars together... I know that the ferry from Rosslaire to Cherbourg is somethimes pretty pricey... :cold:

  4. I'm lost... can someone care to evolve their answers maybe? :snack:

    Lol!!!

Three Japanese tuner cars being discussed!!!

The first is the Jun racing twin turbo beast that did a couple of runs at one of the big tracks and then wasnt really seen again. I have a feeling that if you type in 350z crash on youtube there is one that comes up with something like 222kph in the title and this could have been the car...

The 2nd is the 350z Esprit car, lots of mods but the main one being a engine swap out to a skyline RB26 TT engine with a shed load of power..

The 3rd was the Ogura 350z running an Ogura Super Charger sitting on the plenum and then a TT system running below on the VQ35 block (that and a Nos system plummed in!!) No real data available regarding the power, but it must be big!

Think people like Top Secret and a few others have made some big design engines, but the RB26 / 4WD ones seem to be the most work.

    cheers for the translation

  5. Where would you do it? Seems like a decent thing to learn, and if there are good writeups of it then go for it :)

was one planned here in may but got cancelled, then i think i saw one over in the uk, might go accross the water the next time if they publish more dates. would say 10 peps from here be interested?

  6. paid £300 for it buddy inc labour. i paid that much for an exhaust on a mazda 323 a good few yrs back so thought it wasnt bad. plus the guy was recommended by 2 guys inc my arch nemesis on here lol

    B) it just looks nice now :thumbs: well priced id say.

  7. does anyone know if these exhausts give more or less power? surely the special z exhausts have been created with hp in thought in front of design/sound? sure hope so.

fair play for trying something new, not sure its my cup but hey taste is like the rearend. (divided)

id say once the muffler gets a good runin they sound will increase to your liking  if not just get a set of straight pipes instead of the cats

now we are all waiting for the video

how much was it? if you dont mind me asking.

  8. Do you own a rolling road? or have easy access to one?

You can do on the road mapping you know, and arguably its better than on the rollers. A lot of the MLR boys map theirs on the road with the opensource software you can get to map Evos. Seen some amazing results, proven by proper dyno measurements.

Personally I wouldnt map it myself though, I dont know what I'm doing.

Thats why I want to do the EFI course since I've seen the ECU software... and I'd be afraid of breaking something. And no don't own a rolling road... on the road mapping would be the way and then prove it at a later stage.
