If i'm not mistaken there is an internal pic of a sunset orange car and on the dash it says the average mpg is 25mpg! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
START DRIVING MAN!
dont think he made that on the way down...

Has he got a fake BOV aswell

Thanks guys Yeh I returned about 25 mins later and you'd all buggered off! LOL! I was ragin I missed the cruise but next time I'll be there.
I feel a wee bit shyte at the fact that I haven't put any blood sweat and tears into building this car up from standard like you all have but trust me I have spend LOTS of money on other cars in my life in the past mainly in OZ so to buy one that has been fiddled up already is quite a nice change for me however nowing me I will keep throwing money at it to make it even better, BTW for those that I was discussing my Apline Sat nav (NVE-N099P) with yesterday you'll be glad to know that I did get it working today, The Japanese facia plate that I popped out quite easliy was hiding a power button LOL! AND it's touch screen hence the button plate isnt even connected it is litterely filling a hole, Found the remote too just incase I cant bother to reach out and enter a destination. BTW it is all in English and working perfectly NIIICE!!!
BTW can anyone recommend someone to trim my centre console? I saw a few of you guys had it done yesterday and I thought it looked sweeet!
Cheers.
pics are coming.....
you should have tried and
after us!

On Andy car when logging ecu inputs we saw 20 degree C difference inlet charge temperature between running the STD air boxes and the Nismo filter kit , even with running the bonnet up there was still a great difference in temperautre between the 2 set up,s. I managed to tweak the map to regain the lost BHP when using the Nismo filters mostly by tweaking the fuel map and cam set up , but if we could keep the inlet temps as low a sthe STD car I would imagime we may well see a few bhp gained , but in my eyes your never keep these filters cold enough when they are bolted in the engine bay. We may well try STD air box fitted with HKS filters to see if this makes any difference.
Re Up rev tuning;
Reflash is a before and after dyno run. No extra dyno time included . If your car is alot different to what we have a reflash for , you will definitley need a few hours dyno time , this is charged at £85-00 + vat (£97-75 inc vat)
We are slowly working through the model range , 1st with stock cars. We will never find massive amounts of BHP from these very well stock tuned cars , but we can nibble at the maps , and help with smoothing the BHP and torque curves out gain a few bhp/torque here and there .
If you have other items fitted i.e exhaust, high flow cats or test pipes , plenum spacer and a good set of filters they will give a few more BHP and torque but again not massive amounts.
hope this helps.
Mark
Nice writeup, I'm using the Apexi drop in filter for the very reason that it seems to run a bit hot when you use any of the non factory kits... also read a filter test where Apexi actually has the best filtration / air 'thingy'...hmm that didnt come out right.
Mark, any updates on the JDM delimiter? (got slagged over the weekend...

1 x 8 x AA Battery Holder.
1 x Fixed Mount.
1 x Stereo mic splitter
1 x V.Gain Microphone
1 x DogCam Suction mount
(as option 2 but with suction mounts)

Would there be any interest in a pure Mondello track day for Z's only?
Was thinking maybe a full or 1/2 day probably a weekday but I've seen they are having problems booking out the weekends now so...
Any slim intersest in this and what would be your max € ? Was thinking of getting some driving instructions too...

Was wondering if anyone would be interested in meeting in the south for a dyno run meet?
I've got two possible venues in mind one in Wicklow and the other in Trim, both have deadly roads (Wicklow would be a tour around the gap...)
I'm still finding it pretty hard finding a tuner in the south thats worked on Z's before and know what they are talking about! Guess thats due to Nissan selling so few of them...
and that in turn might have something to do with road tax and insurance...
Anyway any interest in this?
Day layout: early meet for a quickish spin around the decided area then dyno session with some sort of advice from the guy running the car so you can get some more ideas and what you should be focusing on (this would take a bit longer but I'd say well worth it instead of just getting pure hp figures?) then quickish run again for some grub and afterthoughts...

welcome! liked the stoptech brakes man...
Where did you run off to?

back from the NI meet and have had some road time to test the cats on, wow can really feel the difference with these instead of std! They seem to get louder too as they bed in
tomorrow I'm getting a custom true dual exhaust, will be interesting to see if it improves their performance even further...

Well done on fitting them yourself, no easy job on stands/ jacks, credit to you for the effort mate!
cheers...
just stumbled upon this instruction video:
would have been handy to have watched before I started my install... had to go down a bit of a different route for my install
Think I might do the writeup after all
Can't wait to open her up!
Brilliant link mate, have added that on our website
finders fee?

Video:
old video when I didnt have the intake/ecu/cats etc:
Not sure the sound does it any justice...

Well I won and old cat's lost
Sounds is amazing
(Dont think the neighbours will like it)
Can feel a massive difference in low end torque and mid range. Not had a chance to do proper road testing yet.
ALL good, might do a writeup for this one too having just started the one of my plenum / manifold it might just take a while before I do that... Will post up some photos though.
(oh and SOUND!)
photos: note the bleeding bolt!

I fitted mine myself = free but i did it on ramps, with access to a garage full of tools, and a man with a blow torch and a strong arm the first time
Sounds like the way to go, hardest part was under the car trying to get a good position to actually twist the damn nuts around. Also damn hard to get the car high enough with my jack stands.
Only bonus will be that I can state I did it myself
also saw that I need to talk to the lads over here making custom exhaust for the rest of the way, cant have two shiny new cats and connect them to a rusty single exhaust to the collector in the back now can I
mpg??

here is a good converter for you guys with jdm cars :
http://www.convertcenter.com/unit.aspx/ ... n/km-litre
some good input and some not, got 9km/l on the meet up north... find that REAL good! around town i get 6,4km/l to 7,4 km/l.. my problem is that I like the sound and drive to hear it...
found that the race cats (berk) seem to give me better fuel economy. I wouldn't buy this car if I had to think about fuel costs. then again 1500€ road tax didn't put me off either ![:bounce:](https://www.350z-uk.com/uploads/emoticons/default_bounce.gif)
Have you ever driven a non standard z with aftermarket exhaust, cats intake? if not DO! any cost issue goes when I turn the key![](https://www.350z-uk.com/uploads/emoticons/default_clap.gif)
