  1. Don't 4 get the tyre pressure makes a big difference, on the bike I drop the pressure 6 psi rear and front 5 when driving track or a bit heavy on the road. Works wonders :D

My goodyear f1's seems good enough for wet and when it's dry it would be my own fault if I put her in the ditch....

    A.

  2. congrats mate, nothin wrong with window shopping just dont get caught with your credit card out :headhurt::thumbs::lol:

    rofl!

    :teeth:

Congrats, thats a lot of car for your age no offense. B) (take it handy)

btw, how much is your insurance?

  3. Hi Flo Cats

    Nismo

    CAI

    Plenum

    :bose:

Not for 500 miles on a motorway. Even Lomoto thought hi flo's and Nismo were too much.

all relative though, as sound is a very, very subjective thing

its all about how much hearing you got yourself :teeth:

  4. These are not Rossos, just says Pzero on tyre - and they are on standard 17" rims (soon to be replaced)

Pzeros are okay, certainly better than the Bridgestones it came with! - will be getting Falkens with new rims though ;)

Out of interest what size are you running on 17" rims?

    225/50 17 front

    235/50 17 rears

sorry to hear about the blowout, had one on mine two weeks after i got new goodyear f1's put on! costed me 190€ fitted. will see if i i can find that uk site that seems to have pretty good pricing on their rubber dubber.

  5. I will do a full race report tomorrow but to summarise the car is in one peice.

Darrenb thanks very much for the text message buddy, look forward to a couple of beers at brands with you (post race)

:headhurt: Well done what ever happened!

 Any pics on that intake you've modded on the front? Looks pretty cool.

    :snack:

  6. I've got the same issue. Someone's looking into a cheaper fix, so I will let you know if they can sort it. Sure they will publish if they can sort anything. The rocker covers from Nissan are £349 per side + VAT and a free butt spanking. Mine are leaking either side :headhurt:

:headhurt: both sides, pain. What miles have yours done? Keep me posted what the outcome might be. B)

  7. :teeth: I'd stay away from true dual exhauts, race cats, plenum upgrades if you want to keep the noise down. I'd change the endcans to 'any' of the ones out there. K1 system maybe? (with baffles in and take them out when ever you feel like it wanting to go a bit louder). If you like to hear the sound of the intake I'd go for a apexi drop in filter (so you dont messup the intake setup and heat being sucked into the engine)

Listen to these 3 clips :teeth:

think these links are better for sound difference:

    "standard":

    before:

    after:

  8. What kind of cost would we be looking at???

    Insurance cover??

Never had a track day.. Would be great!!!

a normal track day would be 150€ for a drift session #full day and I think 160€ - 200€ depending on who books it (dtirl etc) I think I remember a figure of 6.5k€ to book the track for a day (bikes) so the end price tag would depend on how many people sign on... I wont be hassling mondello until I get some confirmation on a 20+ number at least... :snack:

If it's only you and me we can have a track day on the outer ring road in NAAS :teeth:

    Where you based?

 Nice to see another Z owner over here!

  9. i've got the invidia true dual, so know how it works, but wasn't 100% sure if the silence in the middle had a double interior i.e. the gases were seperate or just a single chamber i.e gases mix.

from what yuo've said it must mean its not a true dual.

still a nice system though

:headhurt: hmm the silencer has two 'canals' but sharing the same baffle material if that clarifies it.

    Sorry for thread stealing....

  10. The weave as far as im aware holds the pipe together. It gives structural rigidity, whilst allowing the pipe to bend.

My Nismo weave was worn through, and it started to blow at the joint shortly after.

i'd get it looked at before you fit it.

+1 happened to me on my flex joint, it's only 50-60£ to replace so do that 1st before fitting.

  11. is that true dual, or do the gases mix n the centre silencer?

Thats a true dual, the gas mix in the centre so there is on need for a pipe between the two pipes for equalize of pressure :teeth:

Below is an example of the borla true dual exaust note the pipe between the two pipes (red circle)

    140045.jpg

My understanding is that true dual means that there is no single piping along the way from the cats... :dummy:

  12. thought you needed flexi's... B)

Why don't you price up a full custom exhaust from a reputable garage? (thats done it before) cheaper and 'better' I'd say since it's not massproduced to make a quick buck... Here is a photo of mine that I got done Monday:

Not sure about quality yet but will keep the exhaust thread 'busy' with anything that might crop up!
