  1. trying to find photos of the gt-r style front for the 350z but having very little luck, only ones i found was a read yoke and a blue one *blue is nice!

anyone here know where to source them 'locally' and anyone has them? Want to know if it expands the front or not (my xyz) dont' want some V3 look...

    B)

  2. and the light and washer stalks are the other way around - lights on the right - wipers on the left on a JDM

I dont even know which side mine are on. I just pull the stalks untill I find what I'm looking for

That's pretty much what I did for the first 6 months of driving mine! Now whenever I get in another car I look like an idiot spraying water on the screen whilst turning right!

:lol: do the same when i get into a non jdm yoke ;)

  3. now going to watch the tokyo drift for the 1st time... to see what this NOS is all about! :snack:

Noooo, you need to watch the original "The Fast And The Furious" to see the whole "NOS" hype-up in full effect....

Tokyo Drift is from a technical view a bit better and stuff is more spot on even tho there are alot of errors still....

    ffs

    hmmm its in hindu :teeth:

  4. Haven't been in a position to do any tuning of any kind unfortunately. Would love to start improving things once I get all the damn problems ironed out!

Got made redundant recently as well so mods are on the back burner.

I think I read that thread already on 350zmotoring. I've literally scoured the internet for theories because I don't have the money to throw at replacing sensors here and there and what not. Also Nissan quoted 110e for just reading the codes and, I quote, "if it takes more than the hour to read the codes and resolve the problem, then it'll be another 110e and so on...". :scare: < That was my face when she said that.

I've checked brake fluid already, it was fine (unfortunately and I even topped it up just to see but no use. :/

I'm going to do that horrible built in code reader way tomorrow I guess. Was putting it off coz it confused the @*!# out of me before. Nice one for the link!

Don't take her into nissan, pm me your number if you got to go down that route and ill send you a better cheaper way! Sorry to hear re jobs loss...pain in the arse!

  5. Just got home and checked my car, the tag on either seat belt at the bottom of the hinge of the belt right at the bottom near the floor......not at the other end as per my previous post

Andlid, did you have a good time yanking at the seat belt looking for that tag ;)

hahaa I forgot will havea look at the bottom tomorrow! :D

  6. I know this is a bit of an old thread but...

    I've an ELM327 v1.2a and I can't connect to my car, which is a 2002 JDM.

I tried bringing it to a mechanic I know and he used an Autoboss which threw up a u1001 error (CAN error).

I think I need a JODB scanner for myself for starters.. but I'm also wondering whether that's what caused the error with his Autoboss.

Anyone know of a reader that'll definitely work for a 2002 JDM?

an expensive one... ;) what do you need it for? reading codes? then Nissan has its own built in one which is pretty cool :D

    Ah crap. :)

Well, just got a few issues that are reeeaally bugging me.

But my main one is I have the infamous ABS/Slip/TCS issue (made several posts about this already) 80% of the time I use the car. It failed the NCT with a free visual retest as a result of this.

Luckily, during the other 20% of the time I was around the corner from the NCT place in Lucan and I was able to pop in for one of the mechanics to come out and have a look at the car. As soon as I wheeled away from there the lights all popped back on!

Mine have to bite the bullet and go into Nissan at Liffey Valley and pay 110 euro for them to read it........... :(

This is the error I'm getting with some trial software:

you not far from me bud  lived in the 'dalkin' for a while in Rathgar at the moment. We should meet up

Read this and see if you can get the code for it:

    http://www.350z-tech.com/forums/index.p ... opic=38952

If you need a good mech I know one in NAAS that could look after you!

You got any thoughts about tuning? (have a good one now!)

    read this:

    http://www.350zmotoring.com/forums/350z ... hts-2.html

Mine did that with the other tune I had on it... but come to think of it I changed front pads and it went away!!!

(probably due to the brake fluid level going up since the cylinders got pressed back a bit>?)

    A.

  8. Nope I forgot!! Forgot to put the spanner in the car! I now have a special spanner and allen key that have a special home in the rear cubby! Just coming up with a v2 that dosnt need spanners or allen keys.. (that wont fly off at speed!!)

    ;) nice looking :bounce:

  9. You mean like this?

    DSC04206.jpg

Takes about 2 mins to remove for shows :)

And if you have import and no specific "apature" for a plate, there are MOT rules that allow you to run a smaller plate like those found on ATB's ;)

and yer man didnt bother?

  10. dont think NOS came from that movie....

    then again:

Nitrous is an often used as an abbreviation for the nitrous oxide, also referred to as NOS. The term NOS is derived from the initials of the company name Nitrous Oxide Systems, one of the pioneering companies in the development of nitrous oxide injection systems for automotive performance use. The term was used prominently in the film The Fast and the Furious, and not surprisingly, shortly after the film's release, various automotive newsgroups and forums featured unprecedented numbers of inquiries about "NOS" and how to install and use it. To a biochemist, however, NOS refers to nitric oxide synthase.

If you'd seen that movie, then you'd agree that the "NOS" was so prominently product placed in that film.

I know that NOS stands for Nitrous Oxide Systems, but for the more chavvy types, it's become the term associated wth nitrous.

like in one scene, there are like 7 or 8 banners from "NOS" on one wall!!!!

So even if the film wasn't the origin of the name, it certainly what made it mainstream

have to go and watch that now

  11. Today something very Powerful looking pulled up next to me..I didnt pay to much attention, it looked like a Lexus type car. So at the Lights by STAR LANE Hooley, I pulled away very quickly, in Zed terms anyway, thinking I had made a clean launch, this very big looking car overtook me with casual arrogance :surrender: Was just a Big whooooooosh!!

Then as it passed me I saw 4 Rings interlocked and to the left it said "S6" :scare: I came of the gas pedal and sobbed uncontrollably..

    ouch....
