Hi Stoo, i'll work some prices out for people as strangely enough the import 12x6 plates are slightly dearer than the normal size plates, even though they are smaller!!!!! I'll do them as cheap as I can although obviously not for free!! Would rather someone organised the group buy and give me the final order as i do have a full time job so my days are full as it is doing sign work in the evening!! Chris
-
I have no problem in doing them for the club but would need authorisation from a senior as i dont want to step on anybodies toes!!
-
Well I can do something like this: Or just have the logo in large to cover plates at shows? (obviously in better resolution!!)! Chris
-
I have a sideline signwriting company which includes numberplates so would be happy to get a design sorted out for a group buy? I'm fully dvla registered etc to supply plates so fully legal!! Can do both imports and normal size, in fact any size plate!! Problem is as of Nov 1st its going to be illegal for us (as a supplier) to supply showplates as such, or anything with any logo on them (even if the font is correct) so if a group buy is wanted then we best get to it!!!! Not sure who will need to be contacted to see if I can do them if anyone knows? (admin?) Chris

yeah have been really impressed with the insurance company as it happens. Googled them during the process and had heard nothing but bad things about them paying out. Quite relieved I was the minority and got what I was expecting without hassle!! Does seem to be a good time to buy, hence holding out for a bargain, wish i had a few more grand for Z Boys but hey ho!! Also got my eye on a lovely 54 plate BMW 330Ci Clubsport in a velvet blue / purple colour. Never really been into them but this one stood out so maybe tempted to go that route for the moment!! Chris

As above I have now been paid out for my carjacking incident so on the market for a 350Z or similar (scouring pistonheads for other ideas!!). MUST be a UK one though with ideally under 50,000 miles, full history a must and preferably not silver (sorry!!). Budget is around the 10k mark!! Thanks Chris

2005 Veilside 350Z - CHEAP, QUICK SALE NEEDED! £14,500!!!
cfoster replied to Z Boy's topic in Zeds For Sale
Lovely car mate, had a Veilside kitted 300ZX years ago and this is kind of a shrunk down looking modern version!! (ish anyway!!). Out of my budget unfortunately but i do have 10k/10500k sitting here if you really do get desperate and need to sell. My insurance company have paid out on my DC5 Integra so looking for a toy now!! Good luck with your sale Chris -
Ok cool, well let me know when you have a price sorted for it. My insurance company are paying me out this week it looks like so will have cash sitting here for something!! Chris
-
What sort of money are you looking for as it is mate? Chris
-
VERY nice mate, exactly what i'm looking for but out of my budget . Good luck with the sale though Chris
-
Well it looks like my insurance company will be paying out within the next couple of weeks after my carjacking incident so 350Z here we come!! i think my insurance company will be paying out about £10k / £10500k so this is my budget for a Z. Not mega fussed on colour, age but MUST be a UK one with under 70k on the clock with FSH. Preferable colours are blue or black but must be dent free. If anyone is toying with selling in the next few weeks then get in touch. If for some reason I can't find a suitable one within my budget i'll just look for either a Boxster S or F150 truck!! Or maybe hang around for a few months and wait for prices to fluctuate!! thanks Chris
-
So sorry to here what happened Andy, Carjacking is a very frightening experience as afterwards you always think what 'could' of happened. I'm sure you'll remember my DC5 Integra was carjacked a few weeks ago (slightly different scenario) and even now I keep getting the occasional flashbacks. Have the insurance company been decent with you? Chris
-
I am registered to make numberplates and yes the above statement is true in that we are not allowed to make 'showplates' anymore. Hefty fines if we get caught. All RNPS suppliers had to sign a form and send it back agreeing to it so looks like decent looking plates will be a thing of the past soon!!
-
gixxer - I'm in the same position as you regarding 350z or Boxster, driven both, both completely different drives but both just as good as each other!! Only thing putting me off the porker is the age of them, W / X plate ones fetching 10k/11k, same as an early Zed which is still quite a bit newer and generally better miles. Chris
-
I'm in the same boat as you although my budget will hopefully be a little more (depending on what my insurance company decide to pay me). There are decent early UK ones about, and am sure some people will be more desperate to sell than others so you may bag a bargain!! Chris
-
yeah they havent really got any reason not to pay, I have footage of them stepping in the car with me when going for a test drive, and later in the evening when i was picked up, the police turning up etc. CID are involved as well. Value wise they are not listed in Glasses or Parkers so will go by the value on the street. None in the trader or anything with the same mileage that was less than mine was up for sale for!! Pinkies crossed!!
-
yeah i had the phone interview thing on friday and they advised they can't see a reason why not. Know doubt they'll try and pull a fast one though and try to get out of it! C
-
yup, could've been worse, i could've had a knife pulled on me or even a gun, not too rare these days unfortunately . Fingers crossed the insurance company will be nice to me and pay out. 350Z time then!! Just got to find one!!
-
have a word with chicken Lewis as he has just bought an E46 M3 and looked / test drove loads!! As per PM the SMG2 boxes on E46s are nice, just the E36 original ones were rubbish!!
-
thanks for all the kind comments, having looked back at it and the events etc I shouldve seen it coming, perhaps i'm just too trustworthy. CID have the CCTV footage from my driveway (2 cameras on car so have 20mins of footage of them) so who knows, maybe something will come of it. I imagine the car would've been found by now if it was too be. To be completely honest i'm not sure if i'd want it back now knowing what has happened. Just hope the insurance company dont get petty and offer me fook all. Cheers Chris
-
yeah just shook up, not roughed up etc, although you never know who carries knives about these days, makes you think when it really happens to you.
-
Just taken 2 Asians out for a test drive and got carjacked - HS51XDL - white with bronze wheels. Shaken at the moment but they advised they lived in Wood Green. @*!#
-
haha, i've not test drove them both and to be honest either or will be fine for me!!! Once this one sells i will see what bargain and i find!!!! Price has dropped to £10400 now!! Cheers Chris
