  1. Elise S2 as an everyday driver? That would get old pretty quickly. Great cars but for fun only!
  2. Those that aren't in accidents will probably start hitting the scrap heap in around 2014, 12 years seems to be the life of a car these days, by 2016 we're probably looking at 2,000 to 2,500 Zed's and by 2020 numbers will be in the hundreds Pete Will the value of 350z start to plateau as they become more limited in numbers? I am tempted to go for a 370z now but can't bear to sell it after the blood sweat and tears that have gone into it.
  3. Yeah dude - it's mine. Did the insurance company repair it? Buggers said that it would cost more than it's worth. Have they done a good job? Just joking but I bet you filled your pants for a minute there!
  4. i think i'm touring the states next year for a 6 weeks to find somewhere to live I would go to Canada before I went to the states mate. I thought you were Dubai bound anyways - definitely easier for your missus to get a teaching job there! Better holidays and money too than states.
  5. In the process of buying furniture buddy. Thanks for all the positive comments guys - we fell in love when we saw it. I was determined that I wasn't buying a property without a big garage and I even let that slide. For those of you looking to buy, now is the time to do it - it really is a buyers market and you can throw some serious low ball offers about.
  6. All I can say is thats good scottish skin for you! I think we are going to head back next year - it was the absolute bomb! If you get a chance, don't just grab it - mount it and hump it into submission.
  7. ok now i know im a woman and yes im a newbie to this site so i dont understand what wierd things you 350 guys do ......but why would you put toothpaste on your b@ll@cks!?!?!? To give you a minty taste!
  8. Very tidy! Tempted to make the transfer more and more these days. My old is looking to buy one too!
  9. Hotel was out of this world! Facilities, drinks, restaurants and service were superb. The only thing that bothered me was that some people ( mainly Americans if I am honest) were hugely rude to the staff - i got the impression that they saw them as being 'below' them. The staff ran to their every need and were so polite and helpful. Whats more many of the rude ones didn't tip. This annoyed me, especially when they come from a tipping culture and Mexican staff live in such poor conditions. I made friends with a few of the staff that work there, in particular one of the bar keepers. I knew that they were paid poorly but didn't realise how poorly. 6 dollars a day for an eight hour shift with no break. We ended up tipping highly everywhere when I found this out. I really wanted to see the Mayan tower etc but I couldn't go the two and a half hours bus journey - I'll save that or next year. As for the donkey - I could only manage a small one with fries.
  10. I have been running two 5ks a week since Xmas trying to shed weight - I don't want to put it on! Yeah it was amazing mate - I only did dessert once and it was the tempura ice cream. Not a dessert kinds guy - it takes away extra space for beer!
  11. Cool...if you fancy joining one of our mini meets, feel free. We quite often meet up when the good weather comes in!

  13. Welcome to the forum. Depends what parts you want. ZMANALEX, a fellow scotsman, can usually source you most service and OEM parts. A whole bunch of traders on here including CS and Tarmac do aftermarket parts. Post up what it is you want and people will point you in the right direction. As for servicing mixed bag between dealers and private. Where in Scotland you from?
  14. I am sure Falcon won't have any bother doing it but if they have any questions I can give you Simons number - he fitted my full kit and has done all my paintwork since!
  15. Loving the stickers. We all know you leave your straighteners in the glove compartment though! Bargain at £850 - I am certain it will bring you £££s worth more fun!
  16. Cracking pics! Always loved the zed in red - especially adorned in Nismo!
  17. Cheers everyone! We are delighted with the house. It has been finished to a very high standard - fortunately for us, it hadn't sold due to the collapse in market. Cheques in the post Liam The house warming is as soon as I get some furniture in - shopping furiously at present. Alright Jay - it is a private development called Kerse off the M74 at Lesmahagow. At the end of the private road there is a huge tesco and the slip road to head back up the M74 into Glasgow. Perfect location too. We should get a zed meet at it soon if you fancy a swatch!
  18. I would of well had sore fingers if I lived at this house. Mmmm Haribo - the mouse wouldn't have got a look in!
  19. Looks the business mate. As others have said Falcon Performance has had many a good write up. Sounds like the body shop you first went to is one to avoid. Did you sort the washers you PMed me about? You'll look like this soon:
  20. Hey fellow zedders, I would of created this thread three weeks ago but I have been in Mexico for the last two weeks - I know, hard times! The missus and I have been looking for the perfect place for a while and from the offset Liam (aka Sarnie) talked us through everything we needed to consider. At this point we were first time buyers and total noobs to the process. When we found our house, Liam not only organised our mortgage but also sorted our life insurances and our building and contents policy too. Liam completed all the paperwork with minimal effort on our part and in addition to this chased the other relevant parties up (e.g. solicitors) to make sure the process was completed quickly and smoothly. This was particularly important to us as we had to complete before the stamp duty holiday to save us paying an extra £2k. We completed the day before thanks to Liam's persistence - I think it made be one of the quickest purchases ever. Furthermore, while Liam was extremely helpful he also got us a mortgage rate that the high street banks couldn't touch. If you are looking to do anything mortgage or insurance related then do yourself a favour and give Liam a PM - you won't regret it. Again mate - thanks for all your help making it possible to get our new home! Some pictures: Private tree lined road up to the house: The exterior at night with zed: The exterior during day with polo: Utility Room: Kitchen: Living Room: Bedrooms: Hall upstairs: Hall downstairs: Bathroom: Jack and Jill Bathroom: Toilet downstairs: Window views: Haven't taken any pics of the garden or that yet but I'll add these when we get moved in!
  21. MOY industries - on yersel! You must rank fairly well on the global front too! 23% prediction accuracy for me on that first race - didn't go as expected at all.
  22. Paid £6.5K for it, I got 2 box files with the car detailing absolutely everything that was done to it including a DVD of the complete rebuild when it was built in 1991. Parts alone cost £11k back in 1991 and Andy Parrot spent 2 1/2 years building it. Engine sounds sweet with the twin dellortos, Engine spec as follows: 1641cc VW Type 2. 041 VW heads polished and ported with 40x36 Stainless steel valves and hardened valve seats for use with unleaded fuel. HD springs and retainers, bolt-up rocker shafts and swivel adjusters. Eurorace H grind high lift camshaft with standard stroke VW crankshaft. Lightened and eight-dowelled flywheel. Melling high volume oil pump with external remote oil filter and front mounted 16 row oil cooler all connected using stainless steel braided hoses. Twin Dellorto DRLA 40 Carburettors with K&N air filters, Facet electric fuel pump with Filter King filter & regulator. Bosch 009 distributor and ignition, Smoothcut rev limiter. Engine fully blueprinted and balanced. Scatâ road exhaust. Transmission: Standard 1300 gearbox with rigid 200mm clutch and urethane mounts.Scatâ short throw gear shifter. I don't think that is a car you are going to lose money on mate! It's a real beauty!
