Its very hard to get extra bhp out of the Z
If the accepted mantra is true (I have no opinion), the ECU dials out gains from the normal mods that people make.
Your best bets for first mods might be
-plenum spacer (better mid range torque)
-high flow exhaust ( better escape = better response)
-CAI (nice noise)
all good and valid points and i completely agree, but the lady at the centre said that nissan, as will other manufacturers disregard anything to do with forums as they say "it could be written by anyone" they have said they can recommend a suitable centre to check the part over to make a diagnosis on the part and give a definitive answer on if the part is faulty at manufacture. but I'm dubious about paying someone to tell me something i already know with out the guarantee that nissan will pay up at the end of it.
do we have any nissan mechanics who post on here?
Quote the Nissan Internal TSB number at them. Then it becomes an internal matter
Hi mate,
There's probably 20 GM cars in Woking!!
I'm one of four within a 1 mile radius in the outskirts
Martin, don't say it like that you make it sound 'common'
I forgot of course, I'm actually 'Diamond Graphite'
I'm off to Abbey Motorsport in Redhill on 2 weeks time.
They are primarily Skyline Tuners, but have theere own Zed, and have looked after ZMANALEX's 600 bhp turbo'd Zed and will be looking after the soon to be famous project zed currently on its way from the US (2000 bhp is rumoured)
They have Nissan Consult system
How do you how fast a "normal" zed is?
I agree, which is why I pulled my old flat stick on ones off and bought the real sculptured wraparound pillars from Envy a couple of months ago
If you're suggesting you want stuff which has the 3 stud fastener connections, I suspect you'd triple the price
Willing to be proved wrong tho'
