  1. I think I might order it. I really enjoyed it and found it both educational and inspiring! It is a good series for finding nice drives I think!
  2. I don't agree that leasing is dead money. You can 'own' a lease car for 12 months and then get something else without tying up money. How much does a new car depreciate in a year? How much does it cost to lease? If the car has to be New Dan then Leasing could be the right way to go. Get a 12 month lease and see how you like it. You could always purchase the leased car after that year at a discounted rate and either sell it for profit or keep running it if you are happy with it!

    DIY detailing

I went to the open day and bought some blackfire wax. I lso picked up my 106FA (I think????) so when I get home I'll be doing a detail on both my cars. When I was at the open day my buddy Clark gave me a PC polishing demo and then let me loose. I really appreciated the expert help and it fairly boosted my confidence on using my scary orbital polisher! I can't wait to get the cars gleaming!.
  4. Sounds like a plan Tim or I'll take one of the lifeboats for a thrash! They sound like an mk2 XR2 with no exhaust!
  5. I was watching a program last night called Coast. They go round the coast of the UK I think. Last night they went from Berwick upon Tweed to my fair city of Aberdeen and I must say it inspired me for going for a big drive. I wouldn't mind seeing the rest of the series as it was pretty good, I learned a fair bit about the coast I live on and the Engineering feats along the way. Anyway, It made me want to go for a drive. And I can't.
  6. I saw some of this throughout the day. Sitting offshore waitng to to do a little work so nothing better to do! I just have to say that Madonna is still looking rather tasty! I enjoyed the Foo fighters and Kasabian too. I didn't see much of it and thought it was a pretty crappy way to promote climate change stuff to be honest.
  7. We are a sad bunch. I can't help it if I feel the need to look at my car everytime I have the opportunity, or drive it at every chance! It's not like I have kids to swoon over!!!!
  8. I often go up to Balmoral and stuff just for the hell of it. It's not far but takes in some amazing roads and views. Did an ace cruise in Houston, there was a Canadian, two Scots and an Iranian in the car. We got really lost ended up either near the Mexican Border or the state Border but on an airbase in some yee hah hick town. We thought we were going to go to Guantanamo for trying to give the Iranians secretsd! It was a laugh, again not that far but seemed like about 2000 miles!
  9. I haven't removed the bumper from my car but I don't think it's too big a job. Is it?
  10. I have maybe not possibly seen a lowly 142 indicated on my speedometer. Did I mention my parents house has a very long straight private driveway.....
  11. If you follow EVOs fast fleet you'll have seen how much Simon George spends on his orange Murcie! I think it was 12.5k for a clutch if I remember correctly. This time his car needs more work and has sent it to Italy to get the work done for 1/2 price labour. It's a £15k rebuild or something!
  12. Sounds like a good excuse for putting in an aftermarket install!
  13. Ha ha, Could just imagine someone in the know texting his mate that he saw a Lambo G with lambo doors!

    SVA test

I'm sure one of the importers could tell you exactly whats required.
  15. Nobody complains about my connection with a samsung phone. My dad had a huge problem in his old car, he went through about 6 phones in 6 weeks trying to get something that his clients didn't complain about!
  16. That looks cool Digsy.

    diesel

The 330d is cracking. My mate had a 330d coupe before he bought his M3. I like Audis though. I think you do get a 3.0 diesel Stuey. I'd rather have a 4x4 diesel in my opinion though (old rangerover for 20k.....)
  18. I have a couple of Nitros. My touring car is impossible to keep in a straight line even though it's 4WD. It has a lot of power!
  19. I have toyos and I'm pleased with them. They offer plenty of wet and dry grip and although the sidewalls aren't as firm as the 'stones they are good enough for my spirited driving. I can't comment on the falkens or MPS as I haven't tried these.
  20. Well the amp is in the back, can't remember exactly where but think it's below the carpeting in the boot????? You could try to measure the signal coming from the amp at the sub, at least it'd tell you if you are getting anything there or not. If the sub was blown it'd still make a noise so sounds like at worst, you've blown a channel in the amp.
  21. I can't see the pics (due to stupid operater blocks on this offshore platform) but welcome anyway. To be honest, you'll spend more in the quest for bhp in the Zed. You'll want a twin turbo kit straight away!
  22. Awesome Sarnie. I'm really pleased for you buddy. Can't wait to see the pics and here the sound clips!
  23. The wing on the first link would make an ideal tea tray!
  24. It's the stupid few. Let's face it, England football fans have a bad reputation as a few 'extremists' spoil it for everyone. Same principal really. The FA take action by banning them from travelling abroad and banning them from football grounds. What action does our government take against Muslim extremists? Ban them from public places? No. Ban them from recruiting impressionable Muslims? No. Throw them out the country? No. They seem to do nothing.
