I have diversified slightly. I'm more into production and reservoir engineering now. I just need to learn to use the computer software now so I can get into it! 2 months off must be boring! I used to do 2 - 3 months on and 2 weeks off in Siberia, If I got 3 weeks off I was bored!

I have started a new job this week! I put in for a transfer in December 2006 to move from working in the field (go anywhere at anytime with no notice and for any amount of time) into the office. I finally started in the office yesterday. It's working 7 days on and 7 days off. Home every night. It's amazing how good it feels to know that I get to go home and stay at home for the forseeable future! It's scary how much you miss it when travelling! So I can plan my life now and will be checking my rota for wales!

Yep. It was a while ago but I called NMGB and complained and they stated that if the car is booked in for warranty work then Nissan WILL supply a courtesy car whether the dealer has or not. The bill goes to NMGB via the dealer I believe. Being a moaning beggar gets you everywhere!

If the car is getting warranty work then you are entitled to a courtesy car! I called NMGB and got a code thing. I showed up at the dealers and got a mondeo diesel from enterprise. It was better than a micra! Never used them for anything else, they should be able to pick up and drop off your car to you anyway!

Hmmm, strange one. I'm guessing the battery is alright. Cars normally have a self protect kind of thing that when the battery is low the alarm goes off!

I would like a 911 C4S as it's my dream usable car. I will own a 911. It depends though on my personal circumstances, if my girlfreind keeps remembering to take her sweeties then another sports car of some description. If she forgets then something really sensible and probably cheap!

The nismo looks the same as stock near enough. The DC is cut rather than rolled.

Well, the alfa is lovely looking but will bankrupt you, the beemer has a nice engine but is ugly (in my opinion,) the TT is just plain gay. The Zed is good. I do like other cars and have given an honest opinion, it depends what you like. If you posted on each forum I bet you'd get the same answers but with the 'forum' car coming out top.

Agreed Dorian. Some members are worth keeping on a consultancy level! Not really though about it. Don't really care! When I get the car into the bodyshop (ie when I'm home long enough!) it'll be worth it. You can't put a price on walking out a breaking into a smile evey time you see your car and beeming with pride..... For everything else theres mastercard!

Not too keen on BMW dealers to be honest. They wouldn't look at my dad a few years ago at the weekend when he was in his 10 quid Tesco jeans but when he went in during the week in a nice suit after a meeting they were tripping over him. He pointed out out that he had the same amount of money as at the wweekend and walked out. On that occasion straight into a jag dealer to order an XJ8. They didn't have much time for me either. It must be great to go home and tell your wife that you snubbed 19 people that earn twice as much you in a day.....

Warrenty on a filter? If it breaks you buy a different one! It'll cost less than fitting!

I had one on a previous car but prefer exhausts designed for the car! It looked ace but droned like hell at 70 and they couldn't sort it. All the welding held up etc
