You checked the tyre pressures? If the TC cuts in mid corner (don't think it matters about throttle) then the pressure could be low. If it's only in a straight then maybe what these guys say......

I don't need a drift car. My Traxxas 4tec nitro running on cold tyres will just spin and slide all day. In fact on warm tyres it'll do the same!
