  1. And the Zed was out of harms way too! So I'm looking for a run around for approximately 1500 of my finest Scottish pounds!
  2. At this rate we'll need name tags! I think we might need to use a form like louis made for one of the meets with loads of details on it!
  3. So glad I wasn't driving the Zed. I thought it was a drunk man so he was going to get 'injured in the crash officer' if it was for being so stupid. It was a young girl and I felt sorry for her. At least her and her passenger were ok. At least I had stopped on the kerb before walking out to the drivers door!
  4. Too right I do! I spent 2 winters in Siberia and 1 in the arctic! That takes it's toll.
  5. My car is written off..... Luckily it was my Astra, now renamed the crashtra! Basically it was parked up on a street, I was nipping in to a takeaway to grab a pizza. It was closed so turned around to see a car bounce off of my crashtra, a megane coupe infront and then mince a 206 GTI and push it about 15 feet up the road. The damage to the crashtra isn't too bad but it's still totalled. So, while waiting for a pay out it's time to buy a new car for the daily chores! The girl that hit me only passed her test a few weeks ago but I must say her Mk V golf stood up to the impact really well. Anyway, I'm away to count my pennies and see what I can buy now!
  6. Well done! Many happy returns. Can I borrow your bus pass in Chester.....

    Wheels

If they are however already minging then a good quality wheel cleaner like Megs wheel brightener may need to be used!

    Wheels

I use warm water! If you have properly cleaned and protected wheels (I use poorboys wheel sealant) then water is more than enough to clean it all.
  9. Can't remember the exact dims but I got sent pics of a lowered car with the same wheels on and it looks sweet. We'll hopefully see this week!

All W33 EGR up here, except Stuart that owns it turns the 3s backwards...... I'm surprised the police haven't had the reg confiscated yet!
  11. Cool. Sounds good. I love the stance of your car. I hope I can acheive something similar! I should do considering it'll be the same springs! Just hope the wheels sit just as nicel in the arches!
  12. Meeting at St Davids Park: Chris`I xstric9x Zedrush Stew
  13. You could get a photoshop done perhaps with a black/dark grey and orange lip to match your detailing. Might be crap or might look good.

X3 is very overpriced, Sue's Rav has done over 100k now and never missed a beat still looks and drives like new. example http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/ww ... x_mileage=
  19. I really like the wheels on that Zed. Look very nice and not the normal style favoured by Zed owners.

That is what I've been campaigning Phil. Both me and Dad have had Lexus' (Lexi???) which were faultless. Toyota make very good cars! I think the problem lies in the fact she likes the one with no spare wheel mounted on the back door and they are too new and expensive! It wouldn't bother me. I think I need to get her into one to see it makes sod all difference! Just as a note, she has a Civic just now which has plenty of room in it. She also likes the X3..... I'm not a fan of the looks to be honest but haven't driven one.
  21. 5k for drive work is expensive! My folks made a drive, extended it from holding 4 cars, now holds 11! They didn't pay that and it was lock block! What you needing done exactly? You might be able to do a lot of the labour intersive donkey work yourself!

Ok, My sister says she fancies a new car. She really likes the look of the Quashqai. I'm looking for other suggestions as I would like her to have a look around instead of being blinkered by one. So, smallish 'high car' (she likes my mums CRV, she hates Dads Rangie) so you can get the kind of size of vehicle she wants to drive. She wants an Auto as she is lazy! There must be enough room for her soon to be 5 year old daughters stuff to go in. I'd say must be durable as she she really doesn't care for her cars much to the annoyance of myself and dad. So budget 18k max, not too worried about mileage and I've advised against new to cut down on the loss. Suggestions? edit - doesn't have to be 4wd, just high up! Bloody women.....
