    Motorbikes!

How big a commute? I wouldn't fancy commuting on an RR! As Kev says, diversion, Fazer etc are great commuting bikes. I did my Das recently and it was approx £600 for everything Gixxer listed. Insurance, Newly passed, 0 riding experience, 0 no claims, 25 years old and 08 ZX6R Ninja P7F on fully comp for £480! ebike insurance. I looked at the RR but they wouldn't discount it!
  2. Not tried a normal plate. I would have put on a tommy kaira badge on the front but then I'd be bankrupt!
  3. Pistonheads Highland hoon took place today. steve carter just sent me the link to his website with some of the pics taken this afternoon. All the road pics you see are on our route! http://www.stevecarter.com/hoon08/hoon08.htm
  4. I know two young guys that have had slammed Vitaras! It was like Gay and Gayer!
  5. Maybe.... I think with the Zeds recently reduced ground clearance I thought it'd be nice to be able to go over speedbumps! I actually fancy taking it off road a bit. Not much though...... I used to do it im my dads old winter Shogun. Was top fun! I'm not allowed to do it in his Rangie or my mums jeep.
  6. Well Freelander, Zed and bike. I'm nearly a young Lomoto only I have hair. And he has more cash! Well I was hoping Tim might give me a flat cap too. It'll go a treat with the barbour and wellies!
  7. I know what you mean Rob. 4x4s look cool dirty. It's a little gay 4x4 though so might aswell make it clean! I'm also intrigued to see how the paint comes up as it's actually a pretty nice colour.
  8. Cheers Digsy, need to take some decent pics to show it off a bit. It gets a few looks around town now.
  9. Very dirty as I had to use it for work before I picked up the freelander! Clean pics will go up sometime soon.
  10. A couple of quick snaps. It's needing a good clean.
  11. Another one! Now You can go introduce yourself properly Keith and come armed with pics!

Well the car isn't old so I think it came on it Jay. The 04 plate is a private reg.
  13. Just as a little note, my friend bought his Zed new 276 model and he run it in. It consumed so much oil! It's the only 276 I've heard of taking that much oil. The dealer asked him why he had run it in! He said give it the full rev range....... Opinions vary!
  14. doctors line required for anyone that is ill.
  15. Ok, it was fear of beavis that made me turn it down!
  16. My dad invited my girlfriends Dad instead. He will drink the bar dry!
  17. Glad you like the Zed. by the way! Tough decision, non GT is fine I believe however I personally like the toys. I couldn't comment on the ex management cars as I haven't had experience of them. You could keep an eye on Pistonheads for private cars appearing too.
  18. Thats what I like to hear! Lots more to come on the Scottish run after Wales. Would be a wild night as Dad will have plenty of clients there making the most of his very generous hospitality!
  19. You are guys are REALLY lucky to be being graced with my presence at the Wales run! My dad called me last night to invite me to the 25 year celebration of Aberdeen Football Club beating Real Madrid to win the European Cup Winners Cup. He has bought a table for the do and wanted his boy there! It would be a good event with current and former players etc, etc! The date - evening of 10th May. I turned down the invite as I'm committed to Wales and this club! So, if I can turn down this event to drive 7 hours approx to get to the wales run AND 7 hours back then surely those that are unsure can bite the bullet and show up to get our 50 Zeds. Come on, help beavis make target 50!

They look like (06?)/07/08 OEM headlights to me Me too.
  21. Boo hoo! Don't tell me something from outside actually entered Red Kens London bubble? Proof for all that there is life outside of London!
  22. It's a lotus! It's the 1.8 K series, hence the head gasket comments. I know what I could be letting myself in for. I'll take pics tomorrow. I was very impressed, I thought it's be rolly polly and that but it's not. And it has a really nice chunky and quite small steering wheel. I like that!
  23. For those that saw my thread on my poor Astra runaround getting written off you'll know I was after a replacement. Well it's arrived! Picked up a Land Rover Freelander last night. Yes, I know about headgaskets etc. It is pretty straight and got it for a VERY good price so thought what the hell. It actually is not bad to drive, not everyones cup of tea but it's road manners seem excellent.
