Well you'd know in the Zed if the fuel pump failed to initiate as there would be no noise. However you'd have to test it was working to rule it out completely.

crank sensor is a shout Paul.... I have seen a similar problem on another car and that is what it was. The tone even changed like it was kicking in then it just kept cranking!

They distibute the air more evenly to the front cylinders. The 11-15bhp increase isn't peak power in my opinion. The spacers do improve mid range poke.

Keep an eye out for a Daewoo Matiz or whatever the hire company give me! I will keep an eye out for you though bud.
