I quite like Pioneer units for looks and features. Price is always good too. For quality you are always better going for Alpine in my opinion but for the pioneer would probably be perfectly good enough!

Take a look at this months Evo mag. The route they took in the droptop SLR uses a fair bit of our route. They did miss out some of the best bits though didn't they Colin???

Purple...... Nice! My mate owns a business that also does powder coating and I remember he did a set of prodrive wheels in STI pink. It sounds disgusting but they were ace. Under the bonnet was all pink too so it looked ace at shows.

The Nismo bumper is actually one piece Madden. The US fit a lip. If you want it be be UK spec Nismo then a one piece bumper will have to be used. However if Alex supplies a std bumper and then you speak to Adam@Z1 then you might be able to get it looking nice!

I've seen -50*C. That was cold. I used to walk to work in -40*C. That is Siberia though where there is no wind and it's very dry. I found it very easy to live in with the right gear to be honest. I remember working on a rig in -36 for 17 hours straight, I was pretty chilled by the end of that.

If it's all you need then stick on something like the performance friction 2 piece. That'll give you a hell of a lot of stopping power. I have the dixcel setup all round and it's impressive.

Not for me but then sometimes things look better in the flesh. I'm just not a badge or stickers kind of guy....

I haven't done ice for a while but you can spend a lot on cabling etc too. Running that number of subs you'll need a few amps. Also, not sure on prices of subs these days but I don't think you'll get quality at that price...

3k won't go far if you're looking for quality even if the install is free.

I remember taking a Cayman S out when they weren't that old. Parked the Zed up all clean. Took the Cayman for a blast. The grip was unbelievable (that was the sales dude driving though I NEVER push cars that much!) but apart from that, very underwhelmed. Sure the interior was nicer but it just wasn't worth the £45k price tag. The whole time I was in it I was thinking, slightly older C4S..... I love 911s so it would have to be a 911 for me. My mate (independent German specialist including Porsche) put me off with costs if things go wrong! He did say get an older one, much better. Although going to GT3s and Turbos is a different thing altogether! I can't wait to see the pics.

Went back to work this evening at 6.30pm. That's me on for 7 nights now. Hogmany - new years eves REAL name will be spent in the office counting down alone..... Feel sorry for me? :lol:
