With the hazard light switch behind the gearlever and black heater controls. The 2006 MY with 296bhp had the hazard light switch under the heating controls... the controls with a silver ring! See, I wasn't lying!

I agree with Digsy, not really a comparison. One is a family friendly FWD warm coupe. The other is a RWD 2 seat sports car. They aren't built to rival each other. Cost aside..... You can buy a used Merc SL for 20k. Does that mean it's in deirect competion with a new 20k people carrier?

I think ESR did the gasket for me, but TBH I cant see it making the smallest difference! Fitting is pretty easy, only mistake I've heard people make is doing the bolts up too tight and stripping them. They torque up with hardly any pressure so most peoples torque wrench wont even register it. If in doubt do it hand tight, the heat cycling of the engine tightens it all up apparently. Oh and don't trap the rubbery bit round the oil cap under it either.

Was noise increased? I have always changed intakes on cars. My Lexus IS200 had a TRD panel filter. It was slightly noisier when getting thrashed but not much.
