  3. I have a 2010 Z1000 too. Civic is a nice option for another vehicle.

  5. Where did you get the steels out of interest?
  6. Nice! Very different. Love the fat steels, want a set for my truck now!!!
  7. A Merc SL bumper on a 370......
  8. That would all be deleted before access was gained..... Believe me, it would have been a mammoth task to clean up for me arriving!
  9. perhaps because the way you posts came across about the way the forum is being run. Which by many many views is being run very well and is 'quoted by members' one of the best forums they've been on. Not fix something that aint broken Personally I think I put the shitters up some of the team and that's why their opinions were voiced so loudly. Neil, I'll happily step down from being a moderator if the users think I don't bring enough to the club. I'd also happily put myself up against others in an 'election' if that's what was wanted. I think most would be surprised at what we actually do behind the scenes.
  10. The team is open to ideas, hence their is a 'site suggestions and feedback' section. Nearly every suggestion in there gets discussed by the team privately and feasibility and compatibility are checked. Sometimes a standard forum mod won't work with other customisation work that's been carried out already. Sometimes it's just not feasible due to other issues. Sometimes the idea is sh1te and gets binned straight away.
  11. Those with the techie know how and access to the code aren't always those with the time either unfortunately. There is a 'to do' list in the team area however keeping the forum online and working as it should is number one priority. Little tweaks can be made easily enough however anything that Chris I can break needs a lot more work and testing. We have implemented a lot of changes put forward by the users, let's face it, it's all the users (team included) that make this place what it is so if we can Keep people happy we generally will. We will never keep everyone happy though and this is when the team come under constant fire. 98% are happy or don't care. 2% make a lot of noise and call foul.
  12. And note both chesterfield and I said yes. Chris had concerns over moderation, I suggested using your sig as that would have been a nice test bed to see if it was abused. It's still a good idea and as you said earlier it's even more appropriate now than it was then. Perhaps the techy code boys could look at it again?
  13. On the bright side you know who did it and it's getting sorted.
  14. I'm just 29 and I've been a part of the team for years! I'll just get back to my zimmer now! As for the 'family forum' stuff, innuendo has always been fine...... In your endo! But people take this waaaay to far and we have to draw the line. If I'm at work and I open the forum, no biggie. If my strict Muslim female boss walked by and saw a an inappropriate picture on my screen then that is a no no.....
  15. Ok guys, if you are serious about discussing this then please do so. If not then carry on the OT discussions and we'll move this to the off topic section. Your choice. see I'm democratic......
  16. No sign yet and I haven't missed the postman! Pick him up on the way brillo!
  17. Neil, are you spamming your own thread? Damn, I wish there was a mod around to sort it out........
  18. I will say publicly that I think Neil would make an excellent REO, heck, he's doing the job already and has been a real asset to the club where that is concerned. I don't feel I'm in a position to comment on the subject in hand though as I am obviously part of the perceived problem. I can honestly say that I've never seen a topic in the team section in the time I've been a moderator that stated someone's wish to join the team. Not a single one. As has already been said, new moderators generally stick out a mile and choose themselves. Sometimes there are enough stand out candidates to make the choice difficult but other times it's a no brainer.
  19. Stick defender if you want to learn and possibly make money. An interesting curveball.... Triumph spitfire. Celebrating it's 50th anniversary this year but still remains reasonable money. Easy to work on, loads of bits available and still a genuinely handsome car. Think of it as one of the cars that the mx5 wanted to be.
  20. My dads mate started his up in his garage and it was rather exciting to say the least! I just about made a mess of my pants and not in a scared way!
  21. It lasts a lot longer if only those that have a ban button count. This isn't always the case though! As with all these troll threads, it's fun for 10 mins then gets boring, just like the one posted.....
