An R1 is a hell of a lot of bike.... An R6 would be a more suitable (still more than enough to scare the poop out of you) as you have to work it a little harder to go fast.
Do the Direct access before buying a bike. In london you might find a sports bike isn't the best for riding enjoyment.
There are quite a few that have owned since new but the majority have bought used.
I wouldn't buy a new car personally as I couldn't bear to take the loss from new!

To be honest. I'd build a nice house and start a limited company to run as a project keeping the money earning (a pitiful) interest to help makes ends meet.

I think you'd do well selling a carbon interior kit the same as RSWs but at a reasonable cost!
Get a cloth, put it in hot water. lay it over the bugs for a few mins.
Remove and then they'll come off very easily.
Probably best to use some kind of quick detailer to remove them though so as not to damage the paint.
