  1. Remember if you think there is no appropriate sub section to put it in then just put it in the main section. If you know what I mean....
  2. I think a good powder coater will be ok to use. I think it's to do with temperatures. You need to slow bake it at a low temp or something I believe.... If you chuck it in a hot paint / powder baking oven then you can run into trouble!
  3. A set! Oh and servicing costs seem to range between 150 and 350 depending on location. There are three alternating services P1, P2 and P3.
  4. Stock is good! Tyres can be up to 800quid for standard sizes depending what you want done. Service interval is 9k miles or 12 months. Brakes last well (20-30k miles) and will be MEGA expensive from the dealers - 1200 quid... half that from a trader on here!
  5. Petrol money! Nothing much goes wrong but you get the odd component failure. Tyres can be a big expense too. Mods money too as not many people that hang around here have unmodified cars now!
  6. links fixed. They were lost when we moved forum!
  7. That's a good point, a 370Z maybe? When I spoke to my insurance company they went on some database and said they could see the guy had already reported it to his insurance company and admitted liability so they said I wouldn't have to pay any excess. EDIT: The garage has just phoned me and I am taking it up tomorrow morning so they can assess it. If they can fix it before I go away they will, otherwise it will have to wait until I'm back. Unfortunately the only courtesy car they will be able to provide me with is a Vauxhall Agila Thats what the bodyshop can supply. The other parties insurance can hire a car for you....
  8. Fixed the last pic for you. Looking good!
  9. Hmmmm, I did the same. I used the legal department and settled with the other parties insurance directly. Maybe worth checking up on!
  10. But you still have to declare it don't you? I had a no fault accident (I was standing beside my crashtra) when someone drove into it and wrote it off. I am declaring it and it's a pain in the hoop!
  11. Moved. Car looks good!
  12. I should have known that...... Didn't think about your car being a Nismo....
  13. As many regulars will know, BulletMagnet had a disaster with new Volks and bilberry wheel cleaner. Fear not, it is NOT rubbish and will NOT damage wheels if used properly. So, the wheels. Rays that had about 400 miles since last wash on them and 110 miles on track. So pretty blooming dirty! So dirty! I took Bilberry and gave them a spray front and back, left it a minute. aggitated with an envy brush then hosed off Ok, not all the marks are off the inside but look great for another trackday! Something to mention is that the dilution rate I used was 1:7! Thats one part bilberry to 7 parts water. Took me longer to take the pics than it took to clean the wheels too! So my tip for the day is to start weak and make it stronger when using dilutable products!
  14. You know what, I'll ask my others halfs sister as she is an environmental protection officer for the Scottish government. She might have an idea although you are in Reading! If they don't want it dyumped then they have to do something...... bloody idiotic!
  15. Well done everyone for making the club what it is and really pulling the stops out when it comes to meets. Whether it's sitting in a car park, going for a drive or eating ice cream! That's what makes us the best! Well done!
  16. Looks like something that Bond would have used as a getaway in the original films.
  17. I'm pretty sure petrol does degrade but others might know better. And it's not petrol that comes out the ground.
  18. Take it to a local garage (mechanic type garage) as they have to dispose of old fluids in a controlled way. I'd imagine they'd want a few quid for doing it as they are charged for disposal. Either that or your local council tip as you can normally dispose of old oil there so it's worth asking about petrol.
  19. Brave, brave people fighting and giving their lives for their country. I must say, where the forces are involved I am hugely British.
  20. Hill walking.... emmmm Go karting! Plenty climbing shops! Wouldn't have thought the nightlife was the best. I'm sure there are plenty of adventure sports places though so you'll be able to fill your days! If all else fails, go to a couple of nearby distillerys and sample the wares.
  21. I love proper minis or 'real' minis as they are known as in my household! A local bodyshop to me does loads of restos and it's generally minis he does. I did have a chat with him about them as I fancied one, well my other half did but I'd have stolen it! The problem is for a good shell you are paying big money. They are rusty things and as a long term ownership prospect you'll need to be handy with a welder or have plenty cash to buy a rust free example. As for the rest, there is no car with more mods available! You can tailor it to yourself no probs. Not sure which forums are any use to be honest.
