    quotes on a Z

I stuck with admiral this year for both my cars as I added my girlfriend to the policy. She was 23 today so too young to be quoted by the sponsors. It's a shame but I'll live!

  3. I use a mixture of Porter Cable 7424 Random Orbit and Maikita 9227CB Rotary. I use Menzerna Polish and a mix of 3m, Menzerna and Lake country pads. Chris'I uses a kestral and the results speak for themselves. It's very capable. The G220 is based on the porter cable design but with a UK power supply. I use a 110V transformer.

  6. For all those going to the Hoon, preparation is a must! You'll need to study this for meeting myself and the others from Aberdeen Keep an ear out for Malaig being mentioned. The Harry Potter Train goes there so beware what you are eating there! If you want a laugh, check out Hector Brocklebank on YouTube. It's maybe only the Scottish that find it funny though.....

    Opinions please

Hmmmmm, doesn't do it for me....
  8. Has it had a 'heavy rainshower' detail recently then Ian?
  9. It's here viewtopic.php?f=22&t=25492 The link is in the first post! The whole point of this is to get the motivation going and let everyone learn a little more about detailing. There is nothing like friendly competition to make you try harder and raise your game!
  10. Great first entry Wayne. The car was looking good before but amazing afterwards. Just shows, the car doesn't have to have had a winter of abuse before you start! Lets see your top tip though!
  11. Thank f**k for that! Have a good holiday Mark!
  12. Oh, if people want advice or anything then you can use this thread for that. There are plenty of keen detailers on here that are willing to share hints and tips.
  13. It works great at 1:10 and 1:5 shifts most things. I do it in the middle to save messing about but strengthen / weaken the solution if the need arises. I doubt most wheels get as dirty as that day to day but it shows the power of the cleaner at low dilution rates.

    Texaco Fuel

shame there no local shell garage's, bp is what i use I've always found the additives in BP fuel to make it frothy crap. Don't like it at all! I use Tesco (closest to me) or Shell.
  15. And another from here viewtopic.php?f=22&t=23620 Gives you an idea for getting started! Best of luck and I'm sure we are all excited about seeing the entries for this comp! Or maybe it's just me....

  17. So that's two entries I can rely on! Would be good to see entries coming through sooner rather than later folks. It'll be a great learning experience for us all two as we exchange tips and tricks to really make our shows and meets look impressive!

Bad Arnold Clark, Liverpool Benfield Motors, Portland Rd Newcastle upon Tyne Sunwin, Nottingham Park's Motor Group, Hamilton Nissan Shepperton Lookers Nissan, Chester (new dealership) Nissan Aldershot Glynn Hopkins Ipswich Evans Halshaw, Aberdeen Added Evans Halshaw as I thought they were crap and my sister put her Qashqai in today and they were complete aresholes to her. She did look at their 370Z and she said it was lovely but they are still idiots! All the staff on 'floor' are crap, they talked to her like she was an idiot, misplaced her car (in a different car park) and wouldn't apologise or admit fault just gave more abuse, the list goes on! In fairness though I spoke with a couple of mechanics ages ago and they were decent and the boy that collected my car was ace. Overall though.... muppets!
  21. Good Game! Good Game! Completed it!
  22. They'll look good with the engine cover rich. Reminds me, I need to do mine, they are more rust than polished now!
