  1. We already have a 350z-uk baby!
  2. My misses has a 3 and I have a two. The screen is far better on the 3 but it's not exactly rubbish on a 2!
  3. You need to theme it to a brand now like all the 'best' donk cars stateside.
  4. Harsh...but no surprise...my old fellers a sweaty...he's mortified I support England. Can't help where you are born. Good luck in qualifying for 2016. I don't mean it. Hence the smilies. Just a bit of fun. 2016? Pfffffffft, I doubt it!
  5. Cheaper than Andrex to wipe my behind with!
  6. From The launch of the C Class in 1996 or something to about 2006 they were ropey. Quality is on the up again though. This generation of MB is FAR better than the last. Saying that, My dad just put his summer toy W129 through it's 7th MOT with him. Nothing required like the previous 6 MOTs. It's needed nothing at all since he got it, regular servicing and that's it!
  7. It's something like this I'm thinking of, remember the y value in "x/y Rz" is a percentage of the width of the tyre, so the rolling radius of the 350z wheels/tyres is about 1cm different between the fronts and rears on rays with standard tyre sizes. Swapping both fronts and rears may be ok, but across an axle? I'm no expert, but surely that would be enough to cause extra use of the dif at the very least? But you don't know for sure if it would cause the accident?
  8. I can't get this link to go straight to the post for some reason: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=62291&p=894906 But page 4 of this thread, about 5 posts down by RisingPower pointing out the tyre wall coming away from the rest of the tyre. The way the accident happened (car over-steering clockwise) it would have pushed that tyre wall *in to* the tyre, not ripping it off. (Unless that photo has been mirrored of course). I saw the vid and the pictures. I was Talking about this statement specifically. I can see that potentially an issue could be caused by having the wheels and tyres in the wrong location however I was looking for some engineering evidence that the tyre failed due to this. An explanation would help me understand it.
  9. Hmmmmmm, do you have something to back this up? I'm no expert on these things so would be interested to see it. We could put it up as a bit of a warning on the forum.
  10. I'm guessing you've done a lot of track work already with the zed. What upgrades does it have now?
  11. lolwut It's no more dangerous than any other car ever made in the entire world in standing water. If you're running the OEM A048s then you need to be a bit careful, but that's just common sense and equally applies to folks running R888s on their Zeds. I never had a single issue with the VXR220 on 48s ever. Also it doesn't have VTEC, it has VVTLi VVTLi kicked in yooooo!
  12. Funny, I looked and thought the tyres looked off size wise earlier. Not sure if it would have caused anything but the loading would have been 'off' I'm sure.
  13. Sounds like an old firm match.......
  14. Locked as this is confusing people! See this thread for details. http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=62291
  15. Ooocha. The tyres were fairly squeeling for a few corners before without looking like you were really pushing hard. Once the car went it wasn't stopping though. How many laps / time had you been out prior to that?
  16. Haha, more the merrier! Sounds pretty good, I'll give them a ring first thing tomorrow. Thank you so much for all your help Ebized and everyone else, really has been invaluable. I'm also gonna call Gleaner tomorrow and check they have Super unleaded in most/all their stations. Please tell me its at least 98 Octane! High Octane fuel would be the least of my worries, very few roads will allow you to get anywhere near the right hand side of the rev counter. I'd be more worried about the lambs, calves and roe deer that'll be jumping in front of you! And those that do have super have 99. It's V Power. It's supplied by Shell as is all Gleaner fuel. I never use 'Scottish Fuels' stations so no idea what they sell.
  17. Sounds like drop links but I can't be sure.
  18. She'd have been the first ever person to get injured by lightly kerbing a wheel!
  19. Cheers Stew, truck is awesome and the smile i get in that is equally as good as in the Zed, but for obvious different reasons ! Every truck should have Music Box, camera and electric/leather everything. not to mention tonnes of pulling power and decent pace for a 2.6 tonner... Tekna connect then - b*stard! I have a 2007 Aventura (also in grey) so know where you are coming from with the toys. I will be modding to include a camera sometime but no music box for me.....
  20. This. One of my pet hates is people that ask for opinions of mods on forums and then say 'ah well, won't do that as nobody likes it' after two replies. It really annoys me! Grow a pair and do what YOU like to YOUR car. You've just gone for it and the results split opinion. Everyone will respect the fact you've tried something new whether they like it or not.
  21. Not filling me with confidence! haha. I think I will ring Gleaner and find out what stations they supply Super to. Thanks for recommending Ullapool though, I hope it wouldnt be too much of an added detour to Ecized's much more realistic route. Well in the 4 or 5 years I've been regularly visiting they've always had. I don't want to say 'definately' as I haven't been up this year yet. Ullapool will be taken in on Ebizeds route.
  22. I'm unsure! Genuinely marmite and I love the fact you've tried something new. I just can't make up my mind! I do love the colour you've used though. On another note - nice truck.
