Does it back flip? I'm not interested if it doesn't backflip like my Revo! Thats why I needed the cage because I kept messing them up..... practice makes perfect!
Well to give an idea, I detailed an R6 today that belongs to a work colleague. I used Meguiars, Blackfire, Dodo Juice, Gloss It and Bilt Hamber products.
I don't use Autoglym generally as I've found better for the money.
I must say that trophy looks good. I can feel my wallet twitching.....
I'm a big Traxxas fan though, they are totally solid and if they do break (which it might when you decided to do stupid stuff and you will......) you can get bits easily and loads of hop ups (mods) available!
*some* Rev up engines are known to use oil. Most don't though. They same with any story like this, the boy down the pub knows someone whos best mate had a 350z revup and it used a litre of oil every 20 miles...... much like RX8s.
The Zed does have a low oil light however when it comes on it is because the pump is dry. It's bad news so should be used as a 'stop immediately' light rather than a 'I'll check my oil in a few hundred miles' light.
Ok, pics as requested. A few mods done on each one including noisier 'performance' exhausts!
Traxxas Nitro 4Tec. 65mph+, 4WD, 2 speed box and acceleration that'd scare a drag car!
Traxxas Revo. 45mph, 4WD, 2 speed box and MANY mods.
Buying an RC model that isn't RTR (ready to run in RD geek talk) is quite difficult.
My advice is to spend a good amount on a decent quality one by one of the big names. That way you can get upgrade parts and it'll be a decent machine to start with.
Also, don't buy a car. They are so low that they are difficult to run. Get a buggy or a truck. Magic fun!
I have a Traxxas Nitro 4Tec car but use my Traxxas Revo MUCH more! I can even get the truck to backflip off ramps!
I've done a few road trips in the Zed. A week long with all my GFs shoes and jackets. It all goes in the coupe.
The roadster is a different shape.
The Zed is FAR more practical than you'd believe.
I meet gritter lorries regularly on the road to work. It's a country road so if it's coming the other way I have to get peppered. If it's in front I just hang well back and take an extra few minutes to get to work or home.
I'd much rather see the gritters out and know that the road won't be icy.
I said in another topic, Gritters are damned as they do, damned if they don't! You'd be going nuts if you spun the car because the roads hadn't been gritted.
I drive an old landrover in winter though so I don't care!
Isn't there a river near you by the name of Mersey? You could take your smalls down there until the new appliance arrives
Funny you should mention a nearby river......
Funny my machine broke mid cycle and I was all set to buy a new one. Then I blew back down the waste pipe, then it drained and has worked perfectly since!
Did the same at my mates. I blew down the waste pipe and it drained and worked again. Heaps of white baby blanket fluff came out!
Stan my mate (The one had had a baby 3 months ago) washing machine broke when his boy was a week old too!
I don't think washing machines get on with babies....
