    rotary buffer?

Loads of good DA combos about. Matt at i4detailing (forum sponsor) was doing a deal but it might have run out. Other than that decide what you want (for Zed it'd be a soft paint kit ) and have a look at the traders on here and on DW to get a deal. I use a Porter Cable 7424 DA however this is an old school American import I've had for about 3-4 years. There are loads of DAs available and virtually all are based on the 7424! I think Chris'I uses the kestral which is great value for money.
  2. I've got two. One in each tailpipe. I wanted to be like Alex with his TT setup.
  3. If you're in no rush you'll get the right car in the right colour. I personally wouldn't settle on colour.

    Invidia N1 UK

In the MOT the car is raised to do various checks. They might well notice..... Oh and I think it was 92.

    No 350Z for me

Well no need for any cyber wars to spill over here. We pays our moneys and we makes our choice! I think most people on here would agree that dynamically the Boxster and Cayman is streets ahead of the 350Z but at the end of the day we've chosen a Datsun for reason. So to our boxa.net friends.

    My New 2008 350z

I've worked with a lot of people from Dundee and every single one of them lived in 'the ferry' I think some of them are wannabe posh! Jamie, car is looking awesome mate. Can't wait to see it!

I still can't read it! It sucks! There will always be difference of opinions from petrol heads. Going on an owners forum isn't exactly going to get you an unbiased opinion though.... I think this is probably the best post in this topic Dan - you speak sense sir!
  9. I've never seen it done. Not something I would want to try but we are all different. If it floats your boat then go for it!

    rotary buffer?

What do you want to achieve here? Correction in the paint or a bit of shine? To be totally honest a dual action polisher might be better to start with especially on Zed paint. You can get good correction on a Zed with a DA as the paint is so soft with minimal risks. Best to have a look at DW. A lot of the stuff is transferable (apart from the backing plates) so it's not that bad to step up to a rotary later.

    rotary buffer?

I'm guessing you know what you're doing with a rotary polisher. I have a Makita 9227CB which is quite highly regarded in the detailing scene although any would do I guess.... Well you'll need a rotary backing plate, various pads and various polishes. I won't try to tell you what you already know though,

    No 350Z for me

Doesn't let me view it. Shame. The Cayman S has probably offered the most grip I've EVER experienced in a car. Mental. I've said to my GF regularly that I really like Boxsters and looked at one before I got my Zed. The insurance was too high then. The thing that put me off the Cayman was the fact it was close to 911 money and I LOVE 911s so that's what I'd want.

    Just registering for a look.
  14. September after I've done a bit of California touring. Was 18 when I was there last!
  15. Think you're correct Rich. I got carried away there....
  16. In a different colour scheme and with a slightly different nose. Turn it up LOUD! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmrWl8OY4U4
  17. New 370Z vs used Cayman S and they are totally comparable. Obviously if you have to buy new then they are not on the same page.
  18. The cost to the insurers might be £1500. I've seen a few posts on here in the past about windscreens having to be ordered and having huge lead times. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if it was £1500!
  19. P3, brake fluid, plugs, diff oil.
  20. I only have experience of the Eibachs on the Zed and they seem very good. I don't know anyone that's bought them and changed them for anything other than full kits. Other springs however I've seen for sale due to Eibach purchase.....
  21. With a name like busa1300 I'm guessing you have a bike too???

    carbon wrap

Gold chrome has to be the ultimate bad taste (in my opinion)
  23. If you're unsure what's been done then I'd do the works personally.
