  1. So this meet was on a track?
  2. Made by Ekona from the forum
  3. The Zed was top dog in a car park full of 1.2 Corsas..... Recruited by chavs at Tesco.... It's hardly Fast and Furious is it!
  4. The airbags can't be disabled.
  5. I'm assuming since you're looking at 20 and 25mm spacers you have the wheels and have done the measurements to get the stance you're after?
  6. I've have a few smart phones including HTC. I now have an Iphone. The reason???? It's so slick and easy. Windows based phones are best for uber geeks that constantly want to tweak software and develop stuff.
  7. They just can't be compared to a Zed. Scooby STI is a turbo rally nutter saloon car with 4WD. The EVO is a turbo rally nutter saloon car with 4WD and the tommi mak is desirable, collectable and AWESOME! The Zed looks a hell of a lot better but doesn't go as much, doesn't grip as much and has a torquey NA engine with RWD. I'd advise driving all the cars to see what you want. If you want a thump in the back get a turbo nutter. If you want a good looking GT car with an exploitable chassis then get a Zed.
  8. That'll be the place I bet!
  9. I can do it too. Took me a few tries though.....
  10. Depends what finish you want to achieve to be honest. Myself and Jason did this - viewtopic.php?f=22&t=35275 We used Megs 205 then some poorboys blackhole glaze, blackfire sealant and topped it off with Dodo Purple Haze (I think...) If you are new to machining I'd recommend some poorboys blackhole glaze (or white diamond - I don't know which on GM...) I put it on via machine, as it helps fill scratches and RDS that are left behind after polishing. It gives a real deep shine. Jason couldn't believe the difference after the glaze was applied. My favourite products is STILL Blackfire sealant. I've been using it for 2 years plus and I still love it!
  11. Had a look on the i4detailing site. The Sonus kit is for soft paint so is most suited to the Zed. I've used sonus pads but never sonus polish so I can't comment on them. The pads are alright though!
  12. Ask on PH scottish forum Vik or maybe detailing world I'm sure there is a place in Glasgow - possibly East Kilbride - that can do a set of wheels in a day. They drop you off at the retail place where there is a cinema and stuff. Bit of shopping and a movie then your car is done. Can't remember for the life of me what it's called..... I think I read about it on detailing world.
  13. The Zed is the best car in the world. Sorry, I couldn't even go on pretending to be a deluded fool!
  14. How about some of those weird local laws? Minimum/maximum punishments? local chief constable? any famous local cases that you could use?

Any corporate goods company would knock one up for you I'd have thought. You could see if martinmac can get you one with the forum logo perhaps....
  16. Oh dear. I can see how deep it is from the pics! I hate to say it but looks like the side of the car will need paint.
  17. The numbers are somewhere I'm sure....
  18. Well Ben, Have a search about and decide for yourself. The interior was improved and the lights upgraded. The engine also received a make over gaining 20bhp but losing some torque. Real world it's unnoticeable. The rear lights are an easy and cheap upgrade but the fronts are an expensive swap. I'd say if you paid a competitive pre facelift price it'll be fine if you paid facelift money for it then I'd walk away to be honest. You won't regret it either way but just be happy you are getting your hard earned moneys worth!
  19. Buy a post 2002 one as has already been stated (with the newer headlights) but prepare for big bills. A lot of work requires the engine to be pulled and quite a large number of the first 996s had reliability issues due to swapping to water cooling.
  20. I'd expect a similar car to what I own if I was in an accident. If the jeep was smashed I'd expect a 4WD and if the Zed was done I'd expect something sporty.
  21. Will need rear spacers to fill the arches and possibly fronts. You'd have been better getting a 30 profile too. Might have been asking before ordering!
