What about performance diesels? You have the Leon there but nothing else. To be honest for 25k p/a I'd be looking at comfort - especially for you. What about an E39 530d or a 330d? The latter could be a coupe too for a sporty look. Covering those miles I'd be looking at a comfy turbo derv and you can always get it mapped for better economy and more power!

Nothing really part from a conviction or two. What could you lose from doing something to the guy? A hell of a lot I bet. Ok, Here is what I'd use. I use it on my own car and have used it on a number of dark / black cars wash clay polish then Poorboys black hole glaze. This is a glaze with fillers. It fills small swirls etc and really adds to the finish then an absolute must. Leaves the car looking dripping wet. I cannot express how much I like this product! It's a sealant. Then wax. You're car will be looking better than showroom fresh!

Unless your new work happens to a bodyshop I think I'd leave it to the pros. A scrape looks better than a shoddy repair in my opinion.
