  1. My next car will probably be a bigger house......
  2. Inverbervie. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=i ... 469177&z=9 A little closer to Aberdeen than Dundee but it has a Dundee postcode.
  3. I could commute to my office in about 50 mins I reckon. London in about 9 - 10 hours traffic dependent. I still can't think of a proper reason to use that space but I am tempted to go for a look. I sent Jayne the link last night so I'll see what she says today.....
  4. 'tis indeed. A few people sampled 'The Bay' chips and the dogs had a sausage!
  5. House for sale fairly locally on a nice plot. Seems cheap.... A little too far from my work but an area I've looked at before. Think of a use for the 'extra' bit..... http://www.aspc.co.uk/cgi-bin/public/SINGLE?ID=281022
  6. It's stunning in the flesh! The only annoying about them is only being able to do 126mph before it rips the roof off. Might as well just make a permanent roadster if thats the case!!! You do 126mph often? And in the rain? I think the fact the roofs a faf will be the biggest issue but I'd expect most of them to have the roof removed and never used to be honest.
  7. Neighbours ford focus could be a good scrap panel! So I shouldn't mix pads and polish? You can mix pads and polish but know what effect it'll have. You can adjust up to the cut required in steps. Pad and polish.
  8. I can have a look at your car and pass on what knowledge I have to you. If you keep listening I'll keep talking! Your one black? This can be achieved without too much hassle! viewtopic.php?f=22&t=35275 Even white can look good with the right products and techniques viewtopic.php?f=22&t=38822
  9. Different polishes and different pads from different manufacturers are all different. The same polish on a different pad can behave differently. Sort out a few sections of the car and try different combos to see what works. It's a good idea to use a scrap panel for this if you can to be honest. Have a play! See this chart to see what I mean. http://thedetailinghandbook.com/Polish_Chart.aspx
  10. If you're nail catches it you're unlikely to ge rid of it. My neighbours 911 had a deep 1 inch scratch on it. I rounded the edges on it and now you can only see it when level with the leading edge of the bonnet. On a 911 this would only happens if he has run you over.... Best to round the edges and use Poorboys Black hole to help with the last of the light swirls.

    White Punto

Gave my fiancees Punto a going over yesterday afternoon. Method was Snowfoam Pressure rinse Clean wheels (Bilberry) Clean arches (APC) Washed car (Shampoo Plus and two buckets) Soaked in tardis - white car + tar = NIGHTMARE! Snowfoam loads of pressure rinsing Clayed washed again (Shampoo Plus and two buckets) Dryed Car looked over with brinkmann and very little blemishes at all so pressed on Jeffs Werkstatt Acrylic Prime Jeffs Werkstatt Trigger x 2 30 mins apart Jeffs Werkstatt Glos x 2 30 mins apart Glass cleaned (Meguiars glass cleaner) Wheels sealed with Poorboys wheel sealant Tyres dressed with Blackfire long lasting tyre gel - the best on the market by a mile! **Essential tool - Envy brushes. You NEED these in your life! All in all a nice afternoon and I really like the Jeffs Werkstatt products. I haven't used them on anything else other than this car but it works very well on the solid white paint in my opinion. Here's a couple of pics in the shade taken with the iPhone. Oh and before you all start - it was sitting VERY high at the back due to the way was parked!
  12. No we won't I don't like Emmerdale so my solution is not to watch it, as it is with most things on TV these days. Its quite simple, you don't like it then don't waste an hour watching it and another 7 days bitching about it on an internet forum
  13. I enjoyed it this week. I always do though. One day we'll get a positive top gear thread....
  14. Thanks Mike! It was a good run. For anyone that knows Aberdeenshire we went over Glenshee and turned at Balmoral (the Queens Summer pad) over the road toward Tomintoul / Lecht. Turned and went along Donside and past Billy Connollys house. Went from Bridge of Alford to Kincardine O Neil and went over the bridge at Pottarch and over Cairn O Mount to Fettercairn then up the road to Stonehaven. I hope everyone enjoyed it. Irfan was dying to swap the Zed for this kids bike but he was having none of it!
  15. The £1500 is my mates price. He's well known to be one of the best in the country though. I'm in Inverurie this week (at night) working. I do the odd bit of detailing too....
  16. I've deleted the junk. Lets keep this on topic please as it's a nice chance to learn something about fellow members. It'd be nice to see pics of the instruments etc too.
  17. Think you need a mould. My mate owns a compant that can make one off carbon products (he did a race car chassis and body and other components) but the guy he built it for had a pretty much limitless budget. I think it'd be cheaper going to chargespeed though. Speak to Martin at MW Tech,
  18. 260s are cheaper..... How about getting a yank muscle car? Apex are doing newer nissans 200SX / Silvias with V8 kits and they aren't badly priced. I think they do R32 / R33 skylines too.
