I have no problem sending away my docs to get a BS plate in the same size. My issue (as it's always been) is him telling me the plate size is illegal when according to the people that make the law it's not. I go away on hols for most of the 28 days. My Mum said she'll look after it though and pay the fine if the advice we receive is to put up and shut up. If not then it's open season. I still want to know how they intend summoning me to court with the wrong name on the form????

Just had a knock at the door..... The police here to charge me with my number plate size being incorrect. I showed them the legislation printed on the directgov site and the legal plates supplied by the manufacturer in the size I bought mine. He read it all and said ' reg plate sellers can tell you anything' so I sai, what about the government website? 'Well you're wrong and I have proof' I've asked to see his proof as I said I've followed the government issued guidlines. Also, my car is sitting up my driveway and it's not on the public road. Oh and he filled my name out on the fixed penalty notice wrongly. What should I do? Pay up and shut up and hope it goes away? I have no idea where I stand on this but I'm raging. How I can be done for 'Registration plate size incorrect' when it's following the government legislation I have no idea. Plus the car wasn't on the road??????? And he was a prick again.

What do breakdown guys do if you call them to a puncture and you have taken no precautions? Do they have to tow you to a garage?

I had a blowout on the Zed and there was a patch of 1 inch connecting the tyre. A can of 'get you home' would not have got me home...... Think something like this...... I'll take the spare thanks.
