Here is a true sleeper.....
This was owned by a guy I knew very well at the time way back in 2002 (not the one selling, I just found that link) and Dave P was the one timed under 5 second to 60 and a 13.2 1/4 mile.

edit - http://www.106rallyeforum.com/forum2008 ... hp?t=67694 Just found the vid that Dave put up! Check out the links to his wee 106 in his sig too. He can drive.....
Now THAT is a sleeper Corsa. To this day I think that was one of the outright fastest feeling cars I've EVER been in. I was going to buy it too but was in south of France with work for a couple of months when he ended up selling it to Adam Kindness (those familiar with Time Attack may have heard of his wife Fiona) as he made a good offer.
I'd be surprised if the blue one pictured didn't have a 2.0 in it.
they didn't have a grading high enough for those areas; i hear those scots would take candy from a baby and sell your grandmother, all for just a buckfast.
Thats just the select weegies and the scheemies (as they call them in Edinburgh.) Up North where I am we are too busy chasing sheep to molest to worry about Buckfast! Just don't ask us for anything, we'll never give you it!
I got crisped driving to Miami in a convertible. I wouldn't bother again.....
I did the PCH from San Francisco to San Diego (then onto Vegas) in September and it's a fantastic drive in any car.
Whicheverone you go for will not be a disappointment. I'd let my heart rule 100% as you're not buying it. If your head came into it you'd be in a Toyota Camry.
Look at picks of them, watch youtube vids.... which gives you a semi is the winner!
Is the Evo Turbocharged and Supercharged still? Was fast as hell for the last 3 years but he keeps adding to it. The bad thing is that he has all but killed the class he's in racing in the Scottish Championship as nothing else can get near his car. So many just don't bother entering! It's a shame!
Moved for you.
I love hill climbing. Great to watch.
Looks like you get much nicer metal taking part than we get up here. Although I think the Evo pictured in from Aberdeen.
My dad had Ivory leather in a jag XJ and then cream leather in a range rover. He wears jeans quite often....... I got the job of cleaning the leather in those cars!
Choppers are horrible. Cramped, smelly, hot, noisy and damned uncomfortable. Especially with three layers a survival suit and an airpocket on!
At least you don't use a personnel carrier for boat to rig transfer..... They are hairy!
I know a number of people working off Brazil. Turned down a job there myself last year. Don't know anyone with a Zed that works there.
There are a LOT of rigs down that way though.
